I don't think I'm that picky. If I see a small trinket that looks cool and doesn't hurt my wallet I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat. For something as big as an actual guitar, I'd do a thorough inspection. Is it scratched? Is it used? Is it heavy? Does it sound good? All that.
