Actually, that is not the way I see it. There was a HUGE amount of stars on Idol tonight, which I never watch, but I understand why JP played.
First off NO Idol contestant has ever chose a Metal song until this year! They (JP) got the TOP billing on the show. Priest just got world wide coverage. Richie played his first solo. I think it's good they got this exposure prior to their tour.
Call it what you like, but I think this coverage was a good call. Would have been foolish not to take it.
Oh dear,my biggest nightmare just happened,Priest on american idol! I don't watch the show and i just learnt of it here! Oh well,now i know why KK left,i would too if i was in a band that wanted to play on that shit! And they didn't want to put Reckless on that movie in the 80's but go on this! Wow!
