EXCELLENT!! I'm so glad to hear that Rob is back to interacting with the crowd again!! I was really hoping for more of Rob's personality to show this tour and it seems that I am going to get just that!! You have no idea how much I have missed the '80s Rob (too young to have seen them in the '70s). I am one happy fan!!
I knew that Richie would fit in well! I just had a feeling about it. He really seems like a great guy and he is one hell of a guitarist! I can't wait until October (if they ever put the Dallas tickets on sale damn it!) and November when I see them in Chicago and Detroit!!
From what I've seen & heard Rob does indeed seem in fine form & back to his best with a bit of jovial & rambling between song banter just like the old days, rather than some of the more recent tours where he'd just bark out the name of the next song (if you were lucky).
Richie too, seems to be fitting in very well (obviously his KK-like appearence helps) and his solos are similar enough for the over all change in style & presentation to be minimal.
