You do know that they actually wrote a good chunk of the song don't you? They took exerpts from the Coolridge's poem and used them as lyrics, but a lot of the song was their musical adaptation of the poem. If you don't believe me then look up the poem and then look up the song.
You do know that Iron Maiden did NOT write Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner don't you? Samuel Taylor Coolridge did back in the late 1700's.
