No city fireworks and all I heard was one "pop" once it got dark. We haven't seen rain in I don't recall how long (month+ easy) and 100+F days has people reporting those who throw cigarettes out the window.

Drought has banned all fireworks. $2500 fine if caught. Nope, not even snakes. Night has fallen but deadly silent around these here parts.
