You just wanted to see me get torn to pieces by all the Bay-area sharks, didn't ya? Yeah, well, too bad. I forgot my bathing suit at home. I did nearly crap my pants though when one of the tires on Mom's car got punctured by a brick that fell from a semi in front of us. That any better?
Spa, it did feel kinda spooky wandering around the cell blocks, so it probably is haunted. That or I've been watching too many episodes of Ghost Adventures.
Well, then. More pics, it is!
Here's one of the hallways.
A few of the bare essentials that prisoners were given.
The kitchen.
The exercise yard. It was really windy and could barely hold my camera up. According to the audio "tour guide", Bridge was a very popular game amongst the prisoners. Speaking of bridge, that's the Golden Gate in the background.
Kewl!!!! I wanna see more. Even better, I wanted to see you try to swim it!

Yup, sure did. Walked around "The Rock" for a good 3 hours taking pics of the buildings and the fauna and flora and going on an audio tour of the main prison. Kept getting confused as to where I was supposed to be by the end of each session, but it wasn't too bad. As for the swimming, I feel that I probably could make it, since the island was surprisingly close to the mainland. Would probably get caught early though, since my swimming skills are sub-par.
I'll post up some more pics when Photobucket stops being difficult (keeps giving me this "Status 503" nonsense), but here's one for now.

Cool. Did you get on the island? If so, did you ponder if you could make the swim?

Just came back home from a little "roadtrip" of sorts. Went to San Jose, Sacramento and San Francisco. Even got to go to Alcatraz. It's a must-see!
