killswitch does a tollerable version of holy diver. takes huge balls to cover Dio.
coheed and cambria covered heaven and hell on the tour they just opened for maiden on (no we didnt get alice) and it was alright. probably beter than alright, but dio is incomporable.
I went to Trespass America Festival Tuesday.
I didn't care for some of the early bands. (Battlecross, God Forbid, and Emmure.
I thought Pop Evil would suck but they weren't too bad. A little poppy but they put on
a high energy show. They opened up pretty heavy and closed the same. Good crowd
interaction also. Trivium wasn't bad and Killswitch Engage was tolerable. I loved their
version of Holy Diver. (Yeah, you guys would hate it.) (lol) Five Finger Death Punch
put on a fantastic show. Ivan is one of the few singers who you can actually understand
when he sings without reading the lyrics first. Very heavy except an acoustic version
of "Remember Everything". Overall probably one of the best live performances that I've
seen the last couple of years. I'll spare you guys the videos.
