This is our new boy. He is 6 1/2 months old. We got him from the Southwest Michigan German Shepherd Rescue on Tuesday. He is the sweetest boy, but he is already 70lbs, so he is going to be a HUGE boy. He was owned by an elderly man with health issues that could not handle such a big, strong boy. He never saw toys before, how SAD is that? He didn't even know what to do with a ball! It is so much fun watching him discover new things, even though it breaks my heart that he never had those things to begin with. He was never trained to sit/heel/down/stay, etc., so I really have my work cut out for me! It was much easier training a 15lb puppy at 8 weeks vs. a 70lb 6 1/2 month old puppy! But he is very eager to please and he is potty trained, so that's good!
