Put the blame of fleecing the fans with their best of's where it belongs - on THE RECORD COMPANY!!! The record company makes those decisions and has full rights to keep putting all that shit out. Of course without having a new album out in years, it's to the band's and record companies benefit to have SOMETHING in the slot under Judas Priest at the stores.
As for they "Helped Rob's vocals with some of those highs", you obviously don't sing, so let me explain - when you sing that high, you need a lot of air and you have to sing it STRONG, using your diaphram, to get that high. It also explains why Rob leans over to sing high, he's helping contract his diaphram. So you thought they were boosting the sound to make it sound better when that is how Rob sings. He doesn't have to sing as strong on the mid-range vocals and so it isn't as loud. Why do you think most singers pull the mic away when they sing high? Because they sing LOUDER to get that note and they don't want to distort or blast you with it. I went to 3 shows within 4 days during that tour: Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland. Every show was different and Rob sounded different at every show, There was no "Helping" Rob with boosting the volume or filling in with backing vocals. If there had been, his highs at every show would have sounded the same. I'm not saying you said they were using backing vocals to help him either, other people have suggested it on other sites so I'm adding that in.
IMO, this was the best Rob has sounded in YEARS!! Many other people have said the same. So let's end this already and move forward, shall we?
.....how can you possibly expect Rob to sound like he did......
OMG, that's all I've been saying. You guys are freakin' hilarious. You don't even know what you're mad about and you do twist what I say.
I did see people laugh at him and I do believe they helped Rob's vocals with some of those highs and I did say that they were good just not what I was used too
and I never said I had bad seats and the only thing I flip flopped on was my very first comment which less than 1/2 hour after I posted it and before anyone said
anything about it I said my initial post was a little harsh and backtracked a "little". I never said they sucked I said it was probably my least favorite of the Priest shows that
I have seen. I also knew HRMG and possibly others were there so why do you just make things up and then attribute them to me. Also, more than 1/2 of my negative
comments is me responding to negative comments about me. You guys don't seem to remember any of the positive things I've said and no one seems to recognize
that I'm still supporting them by buying 11 remasters so far and a skin for my iPod. The fact that I think all their best of's and live stuff is basically fleecing the diehards
is my only real criticism of the band. The concert (opinion) to me is age related and something we all deal with and I have no grudges against that. If you guys would just
stop trying to provoke me none of this would even be happening. Since all my crap with Jimmy what have I done other than have a different opinion than most here
on one freakin' show. Please!!

He flip-flopped like a fish out of water on that one!! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I just can't stand it when people bitch about Rob because he misses a note. Scott, KK, Ian, Glenn, and Richie fuck up but no one ever talks about it or makes an issue of it. Rob on the other hand is expected to be perfect at every single show. Being the Metal God is both a blessing and a curse I suppose. How can you possibly expect Rob to sound just like he did when he was 20, 30 or even 40? He doesn't move around like he used to because he is concentrating on hitting all the notes because if he doesn't, people bash him. But people then bash him because he isn't moving around. People laughing at Rob in Cleveland, NO FUCKING WAY!! The people around me were showing each other the hairs standing up on their arms because he was so incredible!
I think this deserves another post!! Since this very well may have been my last time seeing Priest, I wanted video of one of my all time favorite Priest songs - Beyond The Realms Of Death. This song means a great deal to me personally and brought me through my brothers suicide. I will always love this song and I thank Priest from the bottom of my heart for writing it. Sorry about the camera flip, it was my first time recording a song.

VERY well-said. I know I am not the only one to remember his "flip-flop" on the Cleveland show. "Laughing at Priest" was exactly what he said. That is where the "bad seats" comment came from and how actual video got him to a "ah, not that bad" and then to a "both my seats AND Priest were good." WTF?
Must be my "spin." (Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Monday, February 04, 2013 12:06:51 PM)

There is a difference between being constantly negative about the band whose site you are on and saying you didn't like this or that. You might want to remember what you initially said about the Cleveland Epitaph show, when you thought you were the only one from this site that was there. Every one of us here has made negative comments about things we did not like concerning Priest and yet you and Bwian consider us fanboys and fangirls. Give me a break. You are just mad because people don't agree with you, because I sure as hell didn't think Rob sounded bad in Cleveland. Fake highs, isn't that what you said? People were laughing at him? Rob was much better on the Epitaph tour than the BS tour,IMO, where he was hit or miss (I believe that is a criticism, is it not?). Then after I posted the vid I took of BTROD in Cleveland where you said Rob was being laughed at, people heard it and thought Rob was AWESOME!! I let others judge for themselves regarding that show. We aren't running this site and we certainly don't think it revolves around us - it SHOULD revolve around the band whose name is on the site - THE ALMIGHTY JUDAS PRIEST!!

You people really should get over yourselves. This site is a Priest site.
No where does it say they can't be criticized. If you guys can freely state your opinions then allow others to do the same.
(negative or otherwise). If people here want to meet other people they have that right and if all they want to do is post and
never meet anyone then that's OK also. Some people really need to realize that this site does not revolve around them
and not everyone is going to agree with them. Also these same people need to realize that when you go out of your way to
provoke like Guido does then it's going to come back either with a response or sarcasm or irritating posts. If some weren't
provoked by others so much maybe people could get along better.
@Jerri or anyone new here. I will talk to, discuss with, respond to, and interact with you in any way you choose. Judas Priest
is my favorite band and I have only posted negatively about the way they are fleecing their fans as of late and I didn't see their
last show as being one of their better ones and the diehards can't handle that. I have supported Priest since 1981' by hitting every tour
except Ram It Down and by buying every disc they've released and by buying merch at the shows. If I choose to speak negatively
about them now I have that right and don't feel like I should be bothered because of it. Don't allow people here to dictate who you
should "chat" with because they don't care for them. Decide who you want to "chat" with based on their actions towards you.
There is no such thing as good members or bad members some just can't take you not agreeing with them. Take care. David.
