Well said HB. It actually grinds my gears how people think Iron Maiden changed things and were revolutionary blah blah - if you look back they came along at the right time with the right sound. Priest brought the metal to heavy metal years before Maiden decided to join the fun.
no one needs a big wow album, ever. very few bands put out a true game changing album. they can still be a great band. lots of people love Megadeath, cant think of a game changer from them. heck, maiden might be the most popular (not to be confused with best) band out there, they changed nothing.
