Definitely some f##ked up individuals. Reading some of those texts and messages on facebook sickened me.
I can see an individual or two being so callous but such a large group of people that was disturbing. That's where my
"mindset" and "culture" comments come from. I'm just glad the activist group "Anonymous" got involved. They hacked
all these kids facebook, twitter, and youtube accounts. Released videos and messages to the public. They arranged
demonstrations and basically brought attention from the world on this case. That was a little overwhelming for this
area and kept it from being covered up. I'm not going to write the whole story but alot of prominent people in this area
had kids involved and the prosecutor tried to talk the girl out of filing charges. They had to bring an outside one in along
with a judge to try the case. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Sunday, March 17, 2013 9:32:57 PM)

Story #2 on the BBC. Dumb-ass crime. "Might stay in detention until 21." Pffft.
I'm not sure if anyone here has seen it or not but today is the day that an Ohio judge will determine if two highschool football players
are guilty of raping a West Virginia girl last year. This story has made national news and is all over the net. The reason I mention it is
because they played for Steubenville Big Red. I've been going to "Big Red" games (200+) since 1987. I always thought they ran a stellar
program up there and very much looked forward to fall friday nights. That all came crashing down with this trial and now I may never go back
to one of their games. The coach up there was so well respected that they named the field after him. Now I saw trial transcripts where some
of the kids texted each other about how "coach" Reno joked about it and said "Don't worry, It's been taken care of". Talk about disheartening.
Man, something I loved doing for over twenty five years and now maybe never again. Now that I think this is a mindset up there and a way of
culture among them the only way I could go again is if they scrap everything, clear the coaching staff and start again. Unfortunately in Steubenville
Ohio I can't see this happening. Hopefully the trial will force the superintendent to make changes. We'll see.
