You would have LOVED the hikes, compadre. As you saw the shot of how the clouds roll in, that is your only true "enemy" - the weather. Not that a bear could live up there but I had to look up how many people died up on the volcano. Look up the one who was washed over the falls with his daughter. Flash flood took them.
Odd to read the comments. While their family sued and won a "no-fault" settlement of $5 mil US, the opinions were divided. Yeah there should have been a sign but the guy should have known better.
Beautiful island. That makes three islands for me. A little on the commercial side but if you catch a good day, the hiking (and camping, so I am told) is outstanding.
