Never been to Yellowstone. Chatted up a Ranger when hiking around the Rockies a while back. She used to work there. Just like the islands of Hawai'i, you can't get a "which is better" answer out of them. Both parks (like the islands) are spectacular for different reasons.
Do give a full report after your trip to Yellowstone. Safe travels to Saskatoon as well, LOL! Sounds like a blast.

Odd to read the comments. While their family sued and won a "no-fault" settlement of $5 mil US, the opinions were divided. Yeah there should have been a sign but the guy should have known better.
Beautiful island. That makes three islands for me. A little on the commercial side but if you catch a good day, the hiking (and camping, so I am told) is outstanding.
