Forget the half. Run the fuckin' FULL!! ST. JUDE! Plenty of time to train and I'll pass you my iPod playlist. Run to the beat, my friend, run to the beat.
So going on FB, many people have commented that all the songs on RoS sounds the same. Uuuuummmmmm, WHAT??!! Cold Blooded does NOT sound like Secrets of the Damned and neither of those sounds like Crossfire and none of the songs sounds like Metalizer or Beginning of the End!! Maybe they should use better hygiene and clean their ears out once in a while. Since when has Priest EVER used a formula to write songs? NEVER!!!
I am absolutely LOVING this album!! I decided to train for a half marathon - don't ask me why, I've never been a runner or even liked running. Basketball was always my sport and running was something I HAD to do. I have been playing RoS exclusively during my runs, which, since I run with turtle speed means I listen to it twice while running up to 9 miles I have found such inspiration in this album. When every cell in my body is screaming, "STOP! What in the HELL are you doing?!", this album keeps me going. I am inspired by the fact that Priest was going to quit but Richie gave them the spark they needed to keep on going. The guitar work in this album is excellent. Fresh and new thanks to Richie, yet still unmistakably PRIEST! And you all know how I feel about Rob's voice Ian shines in several songs, laying down some awesome bass lines! They went back to their roots. I am trying to get back to the athlete that I used to be. I guess that is why I have such a deep connection to this album.
