Tis correct, HB. Very rarely get snow where I live, but down in the South Island it's common in winter, and in a few parts of the North Island.
That's right Guida haha, no bears. Also, no snakes, no coyotes, no mountain lions, no crazy ass dangerous spiders. You can go on a bush walk/hike without fear of being attacked by something. Unless you happen across a wild boar, which wouldn't happen often lol.
well, thats true of most of NZ. there is snow in parts though. Although its spring now so you have a wait for snow there
