REVIEW OF JUDAS PRIEST/SHORELINE OZZFEST (29TH JULY)

Finally reunited with Rob Halford, arguably the genre's greatest vocalist, Judas Priest did not disappoint as the band ran through such unbreakable metal favorites as "Heading Out to the Highway," "Breaking the Law," "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" and "Living After Midnight."

Halford was an absolute monster as he let loose one spine-chilling scream after another, taking his voice so high at times that probably only dogs could hear the end of his elongated notes on songs such as "Victim of Changes."

Pushing Halford to the limit was the double-trouble guitar work of Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing. The two ax-men worked perfectly together, twisting and turning the rhythm and lead parts into an intricate labyrinth of chugging sounds.

Halford has never been one to shy away from rock-star theatrics. At Shoreline, Halford rode an appropriately metallic motorcycle on stage for a full-throttle encore that included "Living After Midnight."
