YEAH THE ISLANDERS HAVE GOTTEN SOME LUCKY BREAKS RECENTLY TO MAKE UP FOR SOME OF THE BAD BREAKS EARLY ON.  I'M NOT FOOLING MYSELF. THEY ARE AN AVERAGE TEAM. THEY WILL HAVE THEIR UPS AND DOWNS. THEY WILL BE LUCKY IF THEY FININISH WITH THE EIGHT SEED, BUT WILL PROBABLY FINISH OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS. HOPEFULLY WAY OUT SO AT LEAST THEY GET A GOOD PICK. 

ALL IN ALL I LOVE WATCHING THEM. THEY ARE A FUN TEAM WITH GOOD YOUNG PLAYERS THAT ARE FUN TO ROOT FOR AND I HOPE STICK AROUNG FOR YEARS TO COME. THEY DO NEED A BIG TIME SCORER.

I AGREE WITH YOU HB. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH A TIE. IF THEY WANT, MAKE OVERTIME 8 OR TEN MINUTES SO THERE ARE LESS TIES. I LOVE THE REGULAR SEASON. THE MORE HOCKEY THE BETTER. SATURDAY NIGHT WE HAD 5 GAMES ON TV IN THE NEW YORK AREA. THE ISLANDERS, RANGERS, DEVILS AND THE NHL NETWORK HAD THE CANADIANS/ MAPLE LEAFS AND THE CANUCKS/SHARKS.

ONLY HALF OF THE TEAMS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS SAME AS THE NBA. SAYING ALL THE TEAMS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS IS AN OLD RAP FROM WHEN THERE WERE 20 TEAMS AN 16 TEAMS MADE IT.  NOW THERE ARE 30 OR 32 TEAMS.

STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS ARE STILL THE BEST THING IN SPORTS.
