Iron Maiden's "comeback" albums all took time to grow on me.
Throughout my life that's a good sign.
But my favorite is "A matter of life and death"
I love Final Frontier more every day
all time faves still Somewhere in time, Piece of Mind,
Number, Fear of the dark, Powerslave, No prayer,
not one I don't like!

Iron Maiden haven't released any good album since 1988. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son was already the sunset of Iron Maiden since I found only few good tracks in that album. Their creativity was spent out by then.

I agree Vail. I haven't even listened to the entire Final Frontier album, the songs I have heard put me off lol. They've lacked any type of 'swagger' for years. In saying that, both Priest and Maiden should have won Grammys YEARS ago. I still can't believe Priest got nominated for Painkiller, and lost to Metallica with Stone Cold Crazy, a fucking crappy cover! What the hell?!?!?! I don't care for Barlow's vocals only because he reminds me too much of a cross between Geoff Tate of Queensryche and Paul Stanley of Kiss,it just messes with my head, the music is all cool but those vocals...I feel like I'm listening to Kiss and Queensryche while its still Iced Earth so I've never been able to get into Barlow, but he is a good vocalist. I've always had somewhat of a love/hate relationship with Maiden
They warmed up at my first Priest show in '82 ( the Infamous Vengeance / # of the Beast pairing )
I met Bruce that night after the show , we talked for a few minutes and he's a nice guy but, for me Maidens early music had a very obvious Priest influence and it always bothered me seeing them rise to such a towering status in the states . Witout Priest ,Maiden probably would'nt have existed.

Well Saxon's songs flow more towards an old school style than Maiden's newer songs do,but that doesn't mean Saxon is better. I'm sure if we took a vote world wide Iron maiden would win 100 times over Saxon. But its just individual opinion, thats all. I like Saxon better than I do Iron Maiden these last 20 years. But I like Iron maiden from 1980 to 1984 better than I do Saxon, execpt the Lionheart album and The Inner Sanctum album, those 2 are equally as good as any old Iron Maiden album. Nope. Albums have never "grown" on me,never. Either I like an album the first listen,or I simply don't. Everybody is different and this is how it works for me. The first time I heard Brave New World I didn't like it,and still don't except for a couple of tracks. Dance Of Death was even worse,I couldn't find any tracks I liked and still can't,none of them.
And yeah the AMOLAD album I did like first listen and I always have to mention this because I can NEVER give these 2 songs any credit "Different World and Benjamin Bragg" absolutely "suck" but the other 8 tracks are decent Iron Maiden considering what they write these days. But as for the Final Frontier, neah I don't like it at all I can't find one track on the album that I like.
Saxon wastes Iron Maiden these last 15 years by far Brian! HA!
Albums that grow on you are always better in my opinion. Maybe Diamond need to listen to Final Frontier a few more times and it will start to sink in. lol

I think Final Frontier is the best album since Seventh Son. I really like it. It gets better the more you listen to it. Only thing that sux about it is the cover.
