It's only fitting that Devils Child got the song...Eat Me Alive...it made PMRC's 'Filthy Fifteen' at an honorable #3...and in '08 Priest played the song live for the first time, thus completeing the Defenders of the Faith albums song list...the only album Priest has eventually played in it's entirety!!

I was just sent the full length version of the Brit awards best live performance presentation. Nick Frost read out the nominees!!! That's so fricken awesome.!!! Anyway look what maiden were up against.... Pfffffft!!! If they didn't win I would have hung myself. None of those bands even come close to a live Maiden gig..

Wanna know why?.... Because the Brit awards are actually calculated on fan votes, NOT on some stupid, uneducated panel of "Judges".... YEAH!!! as they said in the acceptance speech, they couldn't have done it without the fans.  I put it down to the fact that Maiden fans are so loyal, heaps of people whipped up support for them and voted.. Coldplay fans however do not have such loyalty.. probably won't even listen to them in 3 years time.. if that!

I posted this question in the 'BLAH BLAH" thread, but regretfully forgetting that some of you may not be able to post there yet...I came upon a bit of trivia today (for me, at least), and I wanted to know if any of you were aware of this...Priest, until '08, hadn't played an entire album live..not at the same time but over the course of the years...in '08 they played a song live for the first time that completes an entire album...what song was it??...you answer that and that gives you the only album that every song was eventually played live...

Wow got in to some deep discussion whilst I was off doing boring crap haha. I agree about dogs being forgiving. We adopted our boy from a dog protection place and he is the best dog ever. We do think he was beaten by his previous owner though when we'd go to tell him off (just a 'no Buddy!' or whatever) he'd cower and wet himself poor thing. He knows now we won't beat him though so he's happy as larry and a wonderful dog.
As for religion, I have my own beliefs and I'm not about to force them on anyone else. I don't judge other people for how they live cos it's none of my business, so long as they don't hurt other people then I don't care.  I just believe in being a good person and good to others, the end, lol.

What gets me is the amount of animal abuse around here. They'd think nothing of kicking or even shooting a dog yet are at every Wed bible study class and regular church goers. My God-fearing neighbor even told me once that, while an animal lover, that she was going to have to have her husband shoot a stray that we were feeding just for safety's sake. Only danger of that damn dog would be to LICK you to death! BASTARD!

My dying wish would be that the keeper of the gates of heaven is an animal.

I was baptized catholic but my parents gave me the choice of going to church or not. I went for a while but i didn't agree with alot of what they said. The last church i went too all the Priest ever did was condemn homosexuality.. that does not wash with me, I have alot of gay friends and it would be hypocritical of me to sit there and believe that it is wrong. I will never go back to organised religion. 
They don't preach love and tolerance, they encourage exclusion and hatred.... not what it's supposed to be about.

Never seen more teenage mothers with no fathers (nothing CLOSE to the north), meth freaks, drunk driving, etc. Someone told me a joke when I first moved to town: "Go fishing with you, a Southern Baptist and a six pack of beer. Jeesh! Looks like you landed in Maybury! I don't think I could handle it! We at least have a mall although I hate going to it. Stoplights...........I have seen several come down over the years and be replaced with stop signs because the town either could not afford to replace it, or just decided these good God fearing people could drive Ok.

Check out my downtown (and know why my tagline says "wishing it was still Detroit" Pity me). Pay specific attention to the silo off in the distance. The big building facing us is the city library (where I goes to rent me up some movies!). That movie theater / church / gym is on the cross street right in front of it. Picture taken from one of about three streetlights in town.

Too bad there isn't a good shot of the front of one of those buildings. A little to the left of where that street in front of the library cuts in is a sign in the window that you can't miss. A big "Are you washed in the blood of Christ?" I always think...EEWWWWWW!!!! Sounds sticky.
