Ok, I can still see the pic. I did find info on that 117, It was March 27, 1999 on a plane that was built in 1982. It did not take a direct hit since the missle guidance couldn`t see it. They used proximity fuses and the flack took the plane down. pilot should have been more aware IMO.
But don`t blame the pilots, they are only carrying out orders given to them by their higher ups. But agreed, should move this elsewhere.
Better be careful of those slippers, they may be loaded expolsives.

The 117`s have no combat losses since they began service. Now just don`t ask about training missions! But even that has been many years.
