I got ya loud and clear Hellrider,I do forget to mention also that while I'd love a retro Screaming For Vengeance and A.O.R. type of an album,I take back what I said about not wanting another Painkiller type album because if its done correctly it would totally rock none the less,I was wrong by saying that so yeah even though I'm open for an older sounding LP I welcome the mighty Painkillerish style but with its own personality and as I've said before I admit they are capable of it while I said before they were not,I take that back and if somebody else has a problem with my taking back my words they can have thier face melted off by you Hellrider!!!!
IT IS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO FIGAUR OUT THE PERFECT COMBINATION.I TOTALLY LOVE HELLRIDER BUT IT IS NOT QUITE AS INTENSE AS THE MAGOR MAGORITY OF THE MIGHTY PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINKILLLLLLLLLLLLER ALBUM
ALL I CAN REALLY SAY IS MIGHTY ALL GUNS BLAZING MIGHTY PAAAAAAAIKILLLLLLER MIGHTY METAL MELTDOWN INTENSITY(STYLE THRASHING)(POOOOOWWWWEEERRRRRRR)AS FAR AS DEFENDERS SOUND I LOVE THE GUITAR TONE AND FEEL OF THE ALBUM BUT I WOULD PERSONALLY LIKE TO EXPERIENCE A NEW FULL ON SOUND FOR THE ALBUM POSSIBLY HARDER HITTING SOUND( A SOUND AND FEEL OF ITS OWN) THAN THE MIGHTY PAAAAAAAAAAINKILLLLLER ALBUM OR A KILLER THRASHY SOUND .ITS TOUGH TO DECIDE .
YOU TOTALLY ROCK MY GOOD FRIEND.

Ok Hellrider all jokes aside, how about a cross between All Guns Blazing and Hellrider(the song) and throw in a Freewheel Burning guitar tone for the new album!!!!!! Yeah I don't want another Painkiller because I do enjoy melodic stuff from Priest too but I sure wouldn't be complaining if every song was like this and was full of quality and identity! You rock Hellrider, and never forget it!!!!

I'm ready for these bad-boys to come back with a top notch cd in the Painkiller "swaqgger" style and shock everyone. It could very well happen like" SVF" after "Point of Entry" and mostly "Painkiller" after "Ram it Down" back in the day. Bring it on because its just about what everyone wants. Having just listened to Demonizaaaaaahhhhh for the billionth time (DAMN, that CRAAAAACK at the beginning makes my whole house shake when I turn on the subwoofer), I agree 100%. That is just one wicked cut.
I also argue that Persecution off of Nostra follows the same sort of formula as the title track to Painkiller itself. Blistering guitars, vocals and DRUMS! While I have come to expect the first two, Scott is just a master on this one. Bashing the hell out of the skins throughout but really catches my attention at the end. 5:21 into the song, to be exact. Subtle little rolls start right there through the "persecute, you defy / crucify!"
Yeah, I know. Another post for the "1000 ways to know.." thread = when you rip apart a JP song to isolate the very second that makes you want to jump out of your metal skin! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Saturday, February 19, 2011 9:09:04 PM)

As we know and have said before the band created AOR in the vien that fits into Screaming For Vengeance and Defenders and were trying to add some other elements.
Ian said that the bass riff for Revolution was written in 78' during the Hell Bent For Leather sessions and really the song has that kind of vibe to it but some people think its "nu" metal or weak sounding although I'll admit it's not a brilliant track but it does sound to me like it could of easily fit on the HBFL album.
Demonizer and Hellrider could easily fit on the Painkiller album. I think that its hard for me to imagine an entire album in the vien of Painkiller,I think they would add songs in the style of Metal Gods,Some Heads Are Gonna Roll and Bloodstone too.
Of course if they made an entire albums worth of tracks like Painkiller that would RULE but If they made an album like Retribution but replace Revolution,Worth Fighting For,Angel and Lochness with 4 other tracks like Rapid Fire,All Guns Blazing,Freewheel Burning and Demonizer I would be happy.

Ok, Nos was not what we wanted, but they are fully capable of delivering the goods! Now they have Nos out of their system, which was not a tragedy, we can expect, some good solid metal. The likes of which will blow us away.

I WOULD PROBABLY ENJOY IT AS I GET SO MUCH OUT OF THE MAJOR MAJORITY OF THE BACK CATOLOG. BUT THE HARDER HITTING INTENSE METAL OF THE MIGHTY PAAAAAAAAAAAAAINKILLLLLLLLLLLLLLER ALBUM DOES THE ABSOLUTE MOST FOR ME PERSONALLY.THEY REALLY SHOWED US WHAT THEY COULD DO.WOW MAN.HOOOOLLLLYYYY FUUUUCCC??????.THEY HAVE TO GIVE US SOME MORE NOT GO BACKWARDS.OTHERWISE ITS LIKE A BIG TEASE.AND IT CAN MAKE THE BAND LOOK LIKE THEY ARE GOING SOFT [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by J.D. Hellrider although I don't care for the album when you found out that the "Made Of Metal" LP wasn't hard hitting/pounding like Painkiller you still managed to enjoy the record, and "IF" Priest's next LP isn't as heavy as Painkiller but still is filled with quality songs I'll bet you'll find a way to enjoy it.

There is only one painkiller and there shall be no other. I'm sure they can deliver an album that envokes it but is not it, perhaps even better. My opine for what it's worth. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Saturday, February 19, 2011 3:02:43 PM)
