...No one's getting on Guido in a bad way paorcamp...and I don't think I insulted the racist in any way...but just by giving yourself the name (Racist) invites ridicule...it is a negative reference and desrves what it gets...if someone is gonna put themself out there like that, then they should be ready for the stigma (good or bad) that comes with it...and NO, I don't care why he thinks the way he does...and I'll be tolerant until he becomes...how should I say this...becomes 'vocal' in promoting his views... I think I've been around here long enough to know that you're a 'good guy', Guido (not unlike the Chucky doll...lol)...I know you don't give him not even 1 ounce of credibility...I think you actually put him on the spot with your questions (whether he has sufficient intelligence to even know this, I seriously doubt!!)...and I do remember his TV show...how long before it was pulled??...he was sitting in front of bookshelves full of his new book (at the time)...I guess they were there because no one bought any...except one...lol... DF...like yourself, I was not going involve myself in this area of sociology (?)...but since you broke the silence, I think that what I have to offer only compliments your sentiments...
...of course, the only reason I joined this site is because it is dedicated to Judas Priest...but there's only 'new' news posted by the band every 1 or 2 months...so it is obviously the ppl here that keep me coming back day after day after day...although most of us never have or ever will meet each other and hang out, I do believe that I have built friendships here that will last as long as we choose to have them...I've never tlaked with anyone from most of the countries represented in this forum...and there's the 'friends' I have made right here in my own backyard (so to speak)...in JP.com I get to escape the BS in my daily life for awhile...I look forward to seeing how my 'friends' are doing, even if we don't really get to chat that much, I know everyone is up and about...I also know when ppl are going through bad times or are missing...regardless of my personal beliefs, this is my escape and it offends me when ppl bring their 'hate' here...and most of all, I really wish my 'friends' would not indulge the ppl that so openly flaunt their ignorance as I put a lot of stock in my friendships and I feel that they are 'above' this!!!... [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Tuesday, February 17, 2009 10:06:36 AM) | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Personally, as a "proud white man" myself, I am disgusted by the whole thing. I refuse to comment directly to this cretin so I will speak to our group.
When we allow ourselves to be taken down a path of foul ignorance, we also allow ourselves to be drawn down to the level of the low life to which we respond. Further, we do a great injustice to our membership. You see, we also enjoy the "company" we keep and enjoy the true "art" of the music which defines us. BUT, WE do not allow color, religion, race or country of origin to shadow what it means to be a "true" fan. Accordingly, WE do not see things so simply and WE choose to take a more "enlightend" and eclectic approach to our lives.
I will always be "proud" of my heritage. Moreover, I am proud to be part of such a widely diverse group. We have broken the bonds of ignorance and embraced all. Truth be told, unless you are an American Indian, you are NOT of this land. You are an immigrant. Whether that be of white, European heritage or black, Hispanic, Asian or anything else. How that could possibly be missed is beyond me, but I digress.
We are a family. We do not, nor should we ever, allow the stupidity of racism or any other hate (yes, I said hate) to come among us or, WORSE, be acknowledged. We cannot control the ignorance of others, but we can stand high above it. We shall not be soiled. |

That may be so, strat. I will not argue that. I refuse to be drawn into a name-calling, finger-pointing, self-deprecating battle that will only serve to create yet ANOTHER embarrassment for this site. My point was, and remains, that we as a membership are far above this kind of thinking. To continue to respond directly to this "person" is only giving him further reason to perpetuate that embarrassment.
I do not own this site nor do I have any particular power over it or its members. I am speaking as one member that chooses to put our group before my personal desire to confront this ignorance in a public forum that should be dedicated to the enjoyment of its participants. That is what I meant previously and what I have said now.

Is it a stretch to assume that he is offended by the standard black background? He is probably offended by the night too - being that its so black.
Stormfront (the URL he had) has a pretty nasty reputation. Not that its illegal or anything, but being a member there sure does tell a lot about a persons intelligence... Or the lack of it. I guess he shit his pants when the first responses started to roll in, and deleted it. Because I'm a proud white man with discriminating tastes in music and in the company I keep. I perfer the Art, Music and the company of white people. I do not hate other ethnic groups I just do not like them or trust them. For having a sense of pride and loving Heavy Metal I've been called this many times anyway. I say so be it, so what of it. Most people do not understand what the real meaning of it is anyway. If you love your people as I do you might be a racist too. LOL ;) Edited at: Tuesday, February 17, 2009 1:33:06 AM |

That is strange. Giving so much praise to Rob in one post, would he bash gays in another? Well... IDK, I think that we are overloading his mental capabilities already. Maybe he will just shit his pants and leave? [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Darth_Painkiller_0870 from Tuesday, February 17, 2009 5:41:58 AM) |
