LOL..... I know , The weather is only crap when it's middle of summer and we get the really high temps with high humidity. I like warmth, but humidity..... It's a bitch.

SUCKS! The ice storm of which I have been complaining of late has finally done me in. Lost power at midnight last night and, as the whole house is electric, that means no heat, stove, OR water as I have a well system. Had to run out to freakin' Walmart at 8am this morning just to buy two gallons of water so I could soak my head to try and tame my hair (and you've all seen pictures of THAT).
Even better is getting to work to find that the water main burst leaving the building without water or bathrooms here. Oh what fun. Especially now as I sit typing in a freezing office (they shut the heat off at 4pm) to get a project off via email to someone who needs it first thing tomorrow.
Play on, folks. Back who knows when... |

A couple degrees above freezing, foggy, but at least nothings falling from the sky.
That time of the year again, tho... The thaw. Temps get above freezing at day, and below at night, so everything that was molten in daytime freezes overnight and stays frozen till midday. Im seriously considering going to work on ice skates. |

It hasn't snowed here in 6 days and we still have snow on our streets. It doesn't even warm up enough during the day to melt any of it. With all the snow we have, because of the frigid temps we can't make snowballs, it needs to warm up another 20 deg. or so to get that. That's what makes winter NOT fun, can't enjoy even making a snowman...argh!!! |

Oh neat. We get a teensy bit, not every winter. I haven't thrown a snowball since my teens, ugh. There was a dusting just before Thanskgiving.

Try paying $180.00 for the month to heat only 1000 feet of house! I have a tiny place and it's pretty well insullated. The Electric Company raised the rates by 25% back in October and the state stepped in and told them they could not raise the rate that high. So we still got a 19% increase and I have not seen any money refunded from the electric company yet. They are blood sucking bastards! It's insane! |

You got a massive electric bill too? DAMN, I almost had a heart attack when I saw mine. About $540 or so for a month when I wasn't even HOME!! WTF?
I am thinking my neighbors came over and just ran a big electrical cable over to heat their house. Probably to get me back for all the times Calvin dug up their flower beds. I am knowing that bitter cold feeling myself! Today at work, almost all the smokers were only taking a 4 minute smoke break outside. Too cold for Man nor beast!
