How are they going to get a metal " (the dumb S word you use)" of the 70,80 and early 90's with Painkiller style tracks? If you want Painkiller style tracks how does the "S" of the 70's and 80's fit in you top notch bafoon?
LOL you are such an idiot you deserve another . lol.
" .....what happened to wanting a style of the 70's & 80's?"
I didn't say anythig in that post about wanting a style of the 70's and 80's. What I said was Painkiller style tracks with lots of solos.
In my opinion as a whole AOR didn't have the swagger of the 70's, 80's or early 90's. Maybe a couple of tracks but thats all.
Three axe attack would not be lame at all and it would have nothing to do with Maiden. I think it would kick it up a notch and what difference does it make who gets "credit" for it? I don't think Maiden has a patent on it or anything.

just like they achieved with Angel Of Retribution,Priest's 6th best album.
Painkiller style tracks with lots of solos Evans says....what happened to wanting a style of the 70's & 80's? A full style Painkiller album won't happen
Glenn has mentioned there are styles similar to Sad Wings Of Destiny and British Steel "along with" styles similar to Painkiller.
Halford singing within the range he has today, yes he shouldn't try and force anything.
No concept album, just straight ahead classic metal I agree.

2. Return to the metal "Swagger" of the 70's, 80's & early 90's.
3. Painkiller style tracks with lost of solos.
4. Halford singing within the range he has today - British Steel style vox.

I'm sure we will be pleased. When we look back on all Priest albums they have given us nothing but Heavy Metal. Nostradamus was a album that was underplayed and not really carefully listened too. This was a metal masterpiece and I'm sure they will be Delivering The Goods in typical Judas Priest style Heavy Metal!! KEEP IT METAL!!

Yeah, if ya think about it they've got there hands full with Epitaph which ends in 2013 so they'll start working on their album again in the same year. Theres a Halford tour in 2013? it was one of the topics... [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Brian_Evans from Tuesday, January 24, 2012 8:54:17 PM)

I'm thinking Painkiller style guitars and drums with British Steel vocals, not a lot of highs in that one.
[pipen] Thursday, September 08, 2011 1:14:12 PM
Since there won't be any more heavy touring (if they stick to that decision?) like they say, then I for one think they can do a classic Priest screaming album.
But if they do decide to tour on it, even if it is just for a month, then i'll have to agree whit you J.D. that he should leave the high notes out.
True, but on the new LP he should leave out any high pitched screams because he won't be able to sing those notes live. I think Blood Red Skies is too far out of his range at his age,if your there listening to it live its different but when you play back the audio listening at home its just to struggling to hit those high notes anymore. I'd be happy if Rob left out all high pitched sceams and just sing in a mid range from now on,even on the old tracks.

I hate to say it but I think if this happens you may be in for a let down here,I hope you'll find something decent about the LP when it comes out. I think I have more of a chance of a masterpiece because of my likings for the Retribution album.
I know you'll roar back with defending the faith ect...but Ian's words pretty much sums up the next album's direction, however there will still be a few heavy ass tracks on it,but you may not like them since you didn't like Judas Rising,Wheels Of Fire or even Demonizer which is much heavier than Hellrider.
