Further to previous message re How long have I been a Priest fan?

 - 1976 about 34 years.  I'm 59 years of age and will continue to be a Priest fan!
I have seen them in concert only once, at Newport Centre, Newport, South Wales,  March 1991.  My family were originally from Birmingham and I've always loved 'the accent'.  I was never a record collecting fanatic until I attended a few 'live' concerts.  Priest remain my favourite artists, not just because of their amazing capabilities but because they take it seriously with perhaps a 'touch of' humour?  Yesterday, I ordered the 2 albums from the Amazon website.  I eagerly await for them to arrive, one of them will be a Christmas present to a member of my family.  I would love to have some contact from any other member of this site.

I first heard Priest at a really young age.  I didn't get into it for a while though.  Around 7th grade I heard the song Electric Eye and I loved it.  I looked up more and more of their stuff and listened to more and more and now theyr like my favorite band of all time.  Im now 18 and a Senior, so I'd say I've been a Priest fan for around 6 years.

I am 20 years old, and I've been into Priest for 11 of them. But they became my absolute favourite band four years ago!

I've been a Judas Priest fan since 1982 - 83 when I went to see them in Long Beach,CA. I always try to see at least two shows when they are in southern CA. I have been back stage several times, but it has taken me many years to get there. The concert on Aug. 2nd at Universal was outstanding. Rob's voice took me back to the old days, better than ever. They also greeted the fans and Rob said to remember our troops that are still fighting the war. Send them a care package or a letter and let them know they are not forgotten.

Since the day my brother force fed me "Unleashed in the East". I was on a Sabbath and Zeppelin kick at the time. He was telling me about this band and said I needed to listen to them. When I quit razzing him and listened I heard "Victim of Changes" and immediately  shut up. Then there was Sinner, Ripper, Exciter etc. Before I knew it I was hooked.

Thanks spapad!
I really appreciate the support and kind words (and the blessing couldn't hurt either!).
I could never forget the love of my life. I know it's a cliche,  but we truly felt we were soulmates.
It's hard to be without that one person who you knew "got" you and you could rely on. It's a kind of pain I don't wish on anyone.
I try hard everyday to remember his love of music, his laugh, his voice, how it felt when he held me. And I try to think about the things we had fun doing, and how we could have fun just being silly.
I wish for everyone to find their one true love. Michael and I didn't find each other until late in life, and we had a very short time together, but I wouldn't trade our time together for anything.
Would you like to be friends?  [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Thursday, July 30, 2009 9:30:06 PM)

I've been a fan since my high school days. That would be the early eighties. But I didn't realize that I was a metal fan until much later. I was never much into catagorizing what I like(d). Then I kind of went off and explored other genres of music. When I met my fiance four years ago, I had little choice but to become re-emerced in Priest  because his favorite band was Judas Priest and his favorite singer was Rob Halford. He could sing and do the screams like Halford, and with his bald head he kind of looked like him too.

R.I.P.    Michael     June 9th, 2008     I love and miss you.

I wish I had been a fan for a lot longer as I know I missed an awesome concert tour of Australia last year. Hmm... I know I had heard of the Priest (and listened to some of their hits) years before I became a fan, but I really didn't become a fan until around 82 when Screaming for Vengeance came out. Once I heard that LP, I was hooked.

I was probably 12 or 13 when I really started listening to more than my dads old tapes, I started buying the remasters, hmmmmm I cant really say when I became a Priest fan I think I have always listened to Priest in some way or another.

[Lessy] Monday, June 15, 2009 4:45:53 PM
Heh great Im here only one who falls in love with priest in january this year? :) ox so why priest? At first I found album Nostradamu in august last year, I listen to it a few weeks but I was so exciting about bands such as Alice Cooper, KISS - old school of shock rock and than I forgot on this album...yeah Im crazy but I didnt know real Judas Priest from British Steel for example.... ox so 4 months ago I presented in my class my classwork about Heavy Metal. I worked on my classwork one month...It was the first time when I was enjoyed from homework :D I read books (The Encyclopedia of Heavy Metal: Daniel Bukszpan, very great book), I searching informatio on wikipedia and I watch documents about metal as Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, Heavy Metal: Louder than Life (you can see Judas Priest) and Never Say Die Heavy Metal - this is 4 part of document Seven Ages of Rock, after this document I was very excited about priest. Ive got a lot of information about PMRC too (Ive never heard about PMRC before) so I was very surprised when I heard about two boys who made a suicide and Judas Priest were taken to court, because the parents claimed that there were 'subliminal messages' or what, in the music that encouraged the boys to commit suicide. I cant believe that some people believed that song countains subliminal messages. WTF... OX The End :D Who read it all thank you. This is my longer topic as yet.lol. Hmmm I have question: Is there someone younger than me? :P Hell Bent For Leatherrrrrrrrrrr

Been listening to metal for around 5 years now, but just got into priest about two years ago when i was watching music videos and Breakin the Law came on. The riff is what captivated me, i immediatley looked up the guitar tabs and learned tht song, then went out and bought some 3 disc best of Judas Priest. I cant get enough of them now. painkiller is my fav album. and Nostradamus IS good. sure its different, but i love it. and i cant wait to see em in cleveland july 14th

1985.  My cousin turned me on to metal in general, and I listened to Hero, Hero about a million times.  I missed the Defenders tour, so my first live experience was actually the Parking Lot concert (Capital Centre in Lansdowne, MD), Dokken opening.  Great show.

[Chinese metal] Sunday, May 24, 2009 4:20:31 AM

looks I'm a rather green fan, I just started this year, but I know it is gonna last forever. And though I'd wasted many years in finding the real Metal, I still feel lucky I finally get here~~ many my fellows are still searching in the darkness, JP is really not so famous in my homeland, partly because all their albums after ¡¶painkiller¡· are not doing well from my aspect, at least not as good as iron maiden's 3 albums in 21st century, that's why iron maiden gets more fans than JP here, I'd myself placed iron maiden the No.1 band before knowing JP
