The Fact that there are 2198 visitors online right now shows what Idol did! I rest my case.
LOL, Mr. Francis!...............We might crash tonight! lol

I respect your opinion but for me,Priest being on that crap is worst than the kick in the balls Turbo was in 1986!
Oh well, whatever,at least i got me Defenders album i can listen to and tons of underground black metal!
Actually, that is not the way I see it. There was a HUGE amount of stars on Idol tonight, which I never watch, but I understand why JP played.
First off NO Idol contestant has ever chose a Metal song until this year! They (JP) got the TOP billing on the show. Priest just got world wide coverage. Richie played his first solo. I think it's good they got this exposure prior to their tour.
Call it what you like, but I think this coverage was a good call. Would have been foolish not to take it.

Look I am NOT a fan of Idol, but HELL YEAH Priest has FINALLY made a decent marketing decision that puts them out in the eyes of the world to gain traction!!!!
Good for them.
Richie is a GREAT compliment to the band and truthfully as Glenn and Rob said in the interview today he ads: "YOUTH" EXactly what they need right now.
Just like Scott Travis did in 1989-1990
GREAT JOB GUYS keep the metal flame alive on this tour. I will go and see you SEVERAL times to show my support.
Not so happy about the box set.....more of the same releases?!??!?! Where is the live versions of Painkiller and Ram It Down Tours?!?!?!?

Thank you, sinful gal.
They didn't film it in such a way to show more of Glenn or Richie...

OK, now I'm super pissed off. I missed the opening 15 minutes of Idol. Was helping my kid study. I watched that show to the end and felt robbed!
Fuck!!!! I missed it!

I never watch the show, but I heard the rumor, tuned in and had the DVR going too! THEY ROCKED!!! I really liked Richie! I thought he was GREAT and I am very thankful that he joined Priest and is keeping them going! Can you imagine singing a duet with Rob?! That's a dream come true! I loved how Rob gave James a big hug at the end. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by metalgodess from Wednesday, May 25, 2011 7:29:22 PM)

Did anyone else catch Judas Priest on American Idol just now? The "GIVE METAL A CHANCE" dude that got kicked off a couple of weeks ago did a medley with them. Richie did a pretty good job....any thoughts?

Great to see Judas Priest on American Idol! Priest has made it! Finally, from Honda commercials to Family night!. I only wished I saw them in 1985 when they were at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, UT. My cousin had tix but I couldn't go. They have always been my favorite band, and I've never seen them live. Have all the albums, Cassettes, CDs, DVDs. I live in Indiana now, and not Utah, and noticed that the closest they were coming was Chicago in Nov. I wish that they would include on their epitaph tour either conseco fieldhouse, Lucas Oil Stadium, or Verizon Wireless center in Indiana! I DO NOT WANT TO MISS JP!
