Halford was definatly better in the earlier albums. But he's awesome!!!!!! I saw them last summer for the 30th anniversay tour of Britsh Steel. Unfotunitly he keep his head down while singing almost all night but i had not seen them in about 20 years and man it was incredible. NO BAND GETS ME ROCKING LIKE PREIST. I'm 45 and i've loved them since i was 13 and i'll love them till the day i die!!!! So many memories!!

Rob's voice is so versatile, and with that INSANE range he could definitely sing opera....I would assume he has had some classical training or at least exposure. There is a mystical quality about his sound - there may be others that can hit those high notes as well, but for me he is the greatest and most unique metal singer of all time.
