Ah...I hear ya metallo. Hey hellrider theres another Angel Of Retribution fan LOL!! Hellrider,I'm not trying to get you to like the Angel Of Retribution LP but there are far more members that like the album than there are that don't like it.
And now with the release of the new Halford LP and tour..ect...there is NO WAY that Judas Priest will release a studio album in the year 2011,just absolutely "NO WAY". I and many others have seen this band's patterns and again, there is NO WAY we will get a studio album in the year 2011. I'm beginning to think "2013" if there is going to be a next album that is.

Maybe the same of you. Lochness is not the maximum, too long, but at last all the rest is so heavy. In my opinion is a very good album.

What did you think about the Angel Of Retribution album except for the last track "Lochness"?

I'm not asking for something like Nostradamus, just because they already made it, I'm just asking or wishing (maybe it's better) for an heavy metal album which definetely would demostrate , if someone need it, that they were, they are and will be the greatest metal band of ever. They don't have to copy from their past, nor to demostrate that can play death metal better than others. I simply wish an HEAVY METAL ALBUM, the best of ever. Waiting of course for another one.

You want another "Nostradamus" type of an album metallo? And hellrider wants "death metal" from our "Judas Priest"?? LOL! Now hellrider, you are definately smoking my weed!!!! lol! No no no no fuckin NOOOOO!!!! Judas Priest would look and sound utterly "ridiculous" if they were to dabble into "death metal"...it would be "fake" and "not them" to say the least hellrider, this is pushing it "too far".
Even on the Jugulator "song" I've said it before,it sounds cheesey when Ripper sings "Mutilate"...ect...it just sounds un-Priest-like. If you crave the heaviest Judas Priest album of all time, why not just wish for all 10 songs on the album to be in it's own style of course, but have all 10 tracks as fast and as heavy as the songs "Painkiller,All Guns Blazing and Metal Meltdown"?? All 10 songs, one right after another.
Lets skip the death metal influences, that would totally "suck" hellrider,I do understand what you are looking for,but come on...lets hope they put out heavy british metal like the Painkiller album,if they went into death metal,or even 1 touch of death metal on the album it would riun it.At age 60,the band doesn't need to experiment with "death metal" or any other kind of metal for that matter, lets just hope the new album will be heavy all the way through.

No Death Metal (please not), no Pankiller, nor British Steel or something else. Only the new Priest Album which, as usual, will give us a lot of emotions. I expect always the best. Sometime they failed (Point of entry, Turbo) also if something good can be found also in these albums, but at last every new album was something great. Fort his reason I only expect to listen another great Opera form the Master of Metal.

Thats cool. I guess its pretty hard to top the Painkiller album. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Brian_Evans from Friday, September 24, 2010 8:45:16 PM)
Brian_Evans wrote:
No I don't think it would be a bust if they did something like SFV or hellrider type songs. That would be light years ahead of Nostradamus. I just said Painkiller or bust because If I could choose the style of the new cd it would be like Painkiller. Not a complete copy but something with that type of energy and quality. I don't see that AOR has that much swagger. Just my opinion though. If they come out with something equal to or better than Painkiller then it wouln't bother me if Rob Halford wore a coat and tie on stage.
J.D. DIAMOND wrote:
Hey Brian,no arguing or harsh words....just courious....what if the next album "isn't like the Painkiller swagger" but more towards the Angel Of Retribution and Screaming For Vengeance swagger but with top notch excellent classic british heavy metal songs like the Hellrider track? Or maybe like "Pain And Pleasure"? And what if Halford stays with the current image, will this be a letdown in your eyes? Just wondering,I'm not sure your opinions of the band doing styles of older albums,or is it really just Painkiller or bust for you?
