I do like 'Worth Fighting For" because it reminds me of "Desert Plains"...I just was throwing it in with the weak-links because of the other 6 tracks overshadow it. Revolution and Lochness are the only 2 that could of been beter.
Brian(dumbshit)Evans and Hellrider are the only 2 members on the forum that do not like Angel of Retribution,and also are the only 2 members that are obsessed with "Painkiller". The rest of us have much more opinions about Judas Priest.
I dont want another painkiller either. I would take another AOR though.
not sure why you dont like worth fighting for and angel. those are good tracks. Lochness is good for about 8 seconds. revolution is just a bit off. could be redone and sound good, but it just doesnt work
Rider, how you dont like SFV is beyond me. I prefer AOR but both are great.

Defenders has 3 lame tracks on it for me...Rock Hard Ride Free (I fucking hate this song) Eat Me Alive and Night Comes Down. Those 3 tracks to me are weak. Yes Eat Me Alive spanks of "CHEESE". Retribution has 4 songs that are weak links,Revolution,Worth Fighting For,Angel and Lochness,however I'd take "Worth Fighting For" over Rock Hard Ride Free any day. But thats just my personal opinon of course.

I am itching for some Judas Priest styled heavy metal that is brand new and for me personally the new album doesn't need a Painkiller matched style in intensity,if the band cranked out british heavy metal like in the vien and style 5 of the tracks on Angel Of Retribution...Judas Rising,Deal With The Devil,Demonizer,Wheels Of Fire or Hellrider I would be happy cellebrating the last album from Judas Priest with a smile....

not sure why you dont like worth fighting for and angel. those are good tracks. Lochness is good for about 8 seconds. revolution is just a bit off. could be redone and sound good, but it just doesnt work

The problem you have is that you really only like one Judas Priest album out of 16 albums..."PAINKILLER".
That limits you of course to want another album in the same vien but with its own identity,but again the odds are so highly stacked up against you it will be a letdown for you because lets face it,this next Judas Priest album...."if there is going to be another album" will be the LAST Judas Priest studio album and the band are not simply going to limit themselves to every track on the album a Metal Meltdown or a Painkiller especially at age 60.

Defenders has 3 lame tracks on it for me...Rock Hard Ride Free (I fucking hate this song) Eat Me Alive and Night Comes Down. Those 3 tracks to me are weak. Yes Eat Me Alive spanks of "CHEESE". Retribution has 4 songs that are weak links,Revolution,Worth Fighting For,Angel and Lochness,however I'd take "Worth Fighting For" over Rock Hard Ride Free any day. But thats just my personal opinon of course.
For me ...Judas Rising,Deal With the Devil,Demonizer,Wheels Of Fire,Eulegy and Hellrider all 6 songs reek of classic quality Judas Priest material. Even "Angel" is better than Defenders "Night Comes Down" which has irritated me all these years......jeeze....I still think your wacked about Hellrider being the only track worthy from Retribution,but to each his own.
I'll admit the Defenders Of The Faith is a little bit better than Angel Of Retribution so is Screaming For Vengeance but Angel Of Retribution isn't all that far off in quality.
Another Painkiller album isn't going to happen though,I don't want it to happen either to tell you the truth,there is more to Judas Priest than "Painkiller" like Ripley says......belive it or not.

Defenders has 3 lame tracks on it for me...Rock Hard Ride Free (I fucking hate this song) Eat Me Alive and Night Comes Down. Those 3 tracks to me are weak. Yes Eat Me Alive spanks of "CHEESE". Retribution has 4 songs that are weak links,Revolution,Worth Fighting For,Angel and Lochness,however I'd take "Worth Fighting For" over Rock Hard Ride Free any day. But thats just my personal opinon of course.
For me ...Judas Rising,Deal With the Devil,Demonizer,Wheels Of Fire,Eulegy and Hellrider all 6 songs reek of classic quality Judas Priest material. Even "Angel" is better than Defenders "Night Comes Down" which has irritated me all these years......jeeze....I still think your wacked about Hellrider being the only track worthy from Retribution,but to each his own.
I'll admit the Defenders Of The Faith is a little bit better than Angel Of Retribution so is Screaming For Vengeance but Angel Of Retribution isn't all that far off in quality.
Another Painkiller album isn't going to happen though,I don't want it to happen either to tell you the truth,there is more to Judas Priest than "Painkiller" like Ripley says......belive it or not.

Hey Bud! Missed ya these last few days. I actually like Lochness, especially the opening. I can see how some people think it may be a bit comical or Spinal Tap-ish, but I still like it. And Hellrider (the song) is basically worth the price of the album. As for Hellrider the dude, the Almighty Defender of the Metal Faith, I absolutely agree - if any of the band read his posts and were witness to his undying loyalty and passion, they'd have him travel the world for the Epitaph tour!!!!! Fans don't get more true than him!!!

I am itching for some Judas Priest styled heavy metal that is brand new and for me personally the new album doesn't need a Painkiller matched style in intensity,if the band cranked out british heavy metal like in the vien and style 5 of the tracks on Angel Of Retribution...Judas Rising,Deal With The Devil,Demonizer,Wheels Of Fire or Hellrider I would be happy cellebrating the last album from Judas Priest with a smile....

Same here. I don't dislike Nostradamus - I think in some weird way it was the only logical step forward after AOR. It shows a real sense of drama and mysticism, and in some ways a higher intellect. I also think AOR has great music other than just Hellrider and Judas Is Rising - I really like Lochness and will admit to it without reservation. When you look at their entire body of work you see the growth and changes in direction. The only things I'm not interested in are the Ripper Years. Without Rob it just ain't Priest for me.

Actually Hellrider....Angel Of Retribution is "well rounded" to 90% of fans,its 10% of fans like you who do not enjoy the LP. You make it out to be a "Turbo" or a "Nostradamus" and its just not man. Sorry you can't see the "Judas Priest" in it,and sorry you don't enjoy the LP but its better than what your making it out to be.
Remeber that thread where 20 people posted how much they liked the LP and it was only you and Brian_Evans who dogged on it. Angel Of Retribution is not far off the quality of Screaming For Vengeance and Defenders Of The Faith,its just not no matter how much you want to think it is,its just not man. If you think that album sucks then so does Screaming For Vengeance and so does Defenders Of The Faith.
The "odds" of them making another "Painkiller" are headed into a million to one so I hate to say it but I think your going to be let down. It puzzles me that for you the band MUST create a Painkiller or anything else would suck. It just puzzles me. WHY? Whats wrong with taking a step backwards if the songs are brilliant? Another thing that ultimately puzzles me is that you think "Judas Rising.Deal With The Devil,Demonizer all are "weak"??? That just blows me away. If you think "Deal With The Devil" sucks than how can you like "Jawbreaker" They are practically on the same levels...thats like somebody saying "I like Electric Eye but I hate Freewheel Burning? It just doesn't add up........sigh"...to each his own. I'll never figure you out Hellrider..."sigh". lol!

Hellrider....I too am wishing the band will make a kick ass album!!! Nostradamus is epic and is a great piece of work even though you and I don't care for the majority of it,it still is a well put together album its just that Priest left behind us metal-headed-rivit brained metal maniacs that crave a regular heavy metal masterpiece.
And to speak for myself and not you....for me,Motorhead's new album,brand new Pentagram and brand new Saxon to look forward to I am craving my favorite band of all time to release an album that can rank alongside Painkiller,Angel of Retribution,Defenders Of The Faith,Screaming For Vengeance and British Steel...
These to me are Priest's 5 heaviest albums in thier career and it would be nice to hear something new from Judas Priest! Nostradamus is epic and is a great piece of work even though you and I don't care for the majority of it,it still is a well put together album its just that Priest left behind us metal-headed-rivit brained metal maniacs that crave a regular heavy metal masterpiece.
And to speak for myself and not you....for me,Motorhead's new album,brand new Pentagram and brand new Saxon to look forward to I am craving my favorite band of all time to release an album that can rank alongside Painkiller,Angel of Retribution,Defenders Of The Faith,Screaming For Vengeance and British Steel...
These to me are Priest's 5 heaviest albums in thier career and it would be nice to hear something new from Judas Priest! Hellrider....I too am wishing the band will make a kick ass album!!! Nostradamus is epic and is a great piece of work even though you and I don't care for the majority of it,it still is a well put together album its just that Priest left behind us metal-headed-rivit brained metal maniacs that crave a regular heavy metal masterpiece.
And to speak for myself and not you....for me,Motorhead's new album,brand new Pentagram and brand new Saxon to look forward to I am craving my favorite band of all time to release an album that can rank alongside Painkiller,Angel of Retribution,Defenders Of The Faith,Screaming For Vengeance and British Steel...
These to me are Priest's 5 heaviest albums in thier career and it would be nice to hear something new from Judas Priest! Every other band has a release except for our Priest and its getting me impatient,I'm craving the heavy metal masters to prove to all the world thier brand of heavy metal rules the fucking world!!
