THIS NEXT PRIEST BEAST METAL MONSTER WILL SMOKE THE PAINKILLER

judas rising and demonizer dont even feel like PRIEST to me
man was i ever disapointed with that album no offence of coarse
atleast we got HELLRIDER
I FUC?EN LOVE THE ENTIRE MIGHTY PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINKILLLLLLLLLLER album except for touch of evil sure those others are not QUITE as intense but they are stil very powerfull .
perhaps HELLRIDER was a leftover from the MIGHTY PAAAAAAAAAAAAAINKILLLLLLLLLLLLER album.

Why would they want to make the new cd sound like Defenders, AOR, Hell Bent, ect.  when they could go Painkiller??? And I never said that I didn't like the Defenders style of metal. And no Painkiller is not the only Priest album I like, I never said that.

Thanks to Hellrider bringing this to my attention, Rob Halfords "Resurrection" is an excellent example of the Painkiller swagger:

Why are you here now, just to celebrate one album? Thats crazy but to each his own.

I like Agent Steel's first album "Skeptics Apacalypse" from 1985 but its the only Agent Steel album that I like,so you being here for the Painkiller album would be like me joining the Agent Steel forum to cellebrate the Skeptics Apacolypse album from 1985. So its ok for the Defenders Of The Faith album not to sound like Painkiller because it was released 6 years earlier than Painkiller, but its not ok if they make an album now like Defenders because its after the Painkiller album?   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Brian_Evans from Friday, September 10, 2010 7:36:17 PM)

Just keep the faith man and maybe the Priest will deliver another bad boy Painkiler type cd. Quality solos, vocals, bass, drums, quality songwriting ...ect. Ha! I agree that Hellrider is the best track on AOR, or maybe Judas Rising.

But they haven't really ever made an album like what your describing hellrider, even Painkiller isn't as heavy as you describe. I really don't think that Hell Patrol,Leather Rebel,Night Crawler,Between The Hammer & The Anvil,A Touch Of Evil,Battle Hymn or One Shot At Glory are really that in your face rip em' up hard core and thats 7 songs from the Painkiller album. I think the only 3 songs like this for as heavy as british heavy metal can go is the song "Painkliier","All Guns Blazing" and "Metalmeltdown".

But I do think that Judas Rising and Demonizer are actually "heavier" than those 7 songs off the Painkiller album.I think the song Demonizer is as heavy as any track from the Painkiller album yet it doesn't have that Painkiller sound, neither does the song hellrider. I understand that your hoping that for the first time in history the band will put out "ALL" songs like the song "Painkiller" but that is a "long shot" my friend, the odds of this are extremely against it but if they did pull it off  without going into fucking thrash   then that would be cool, but they have always been a band of variety and again, look at those 7 songs from the Painkiller album I listed, they are really not that hard core.I guess if they don't make the Painkiller sound then you and Brian will be butt hurt and I understand why,but if the album is of excellent "quality" tracks like Judas Rising or Demonizer 80% of the album then most of us will flip out for it!!

what you are describing sounds like another angel of retribution album if it is i will only buy 1 copy as it will only get listened to a couple times and then be forgotten about except for the real 1 monster on there HELLRIDER .

HEY COMMANDER I DONT EXPECT THEM RECORD IT IN A DAY AND PLAY THE ENTIRE ALBUM ON ITS TOUR ON EACH TOUR DATE ALL OVER THE WORLD .THEY ONLY NEED TO RECORD IT ONCE TAKING THERE TIME .THEY CAN FUC?EN DO IT MAN.

FUC?EN DYING OVER HERE FOR ANOTHER HARD CORE PRIEST ALBUM FULL ON AND IN MY FACE.

NOBODY DELIVERS IT LIKE THE PRIEST

Well,I guess for hellrider 31038 and Brian Evans if this next Judas Priest album isn't as strong and doesn't have the "Painkiller swagger" then the album will "suck".And thats ok,thats ok, I'm not saying that they can't have this opinion, thats fine and I get it.    One word: "WOW".

Well, the 2 of you will be disappointed if it doesn't turn out like Painkiller but if it turns out great classic songs as heavy as "Judas Rising" or "Demonizer" or "Hellrider" with a few tracks as good as "Hell Bent For Leather" and "Freewheel Burning"  with the Angel Of Retribution sound mixed with it's original sound I think 95% of fans will flip over it,I know I would.

Sure I'm a fan of "Painkiller" but I guess being into black metal and death metal from the early 80's the Painkiller album is rather "tame" compared to classic black metal releases. I don't think Judas Priest is really a "hard core" band, and I don't think the Painkiller album is "hard core" all the way through. Leather Rebel was not that far off of Defenders sound,Between The Hammer & The Anvil is basic classic Judas Priest as well as A Touch Of Evil,Battle Hymn and One Shot At Glory.Even Night Crawler has much melody over extreme hard heavy metal.

The 4 songs on Painkiller that are the most extreme heavy metal at it's limit are the tracks : "Painkiller,Hell Patrol,All Guns Blazing and Metal Meltdown and now I'm thinking Hell Patrol isn't as heavy as the other 3 mentioned. Even Jugulator wasn't blistering all the way through,I don't think that at age 60 the Metal Gods will deliver 10 straight tracks of the intensity of "Painkiller"(the song) or "Metal Meltdown" if they did "without going into thrash" then that would kick ass,but if they churn out tracks like "Between The Hammer And The Anvil" or "A Touch Of Evil" or "Wheels Of Fire" mixed with heavy ass tracks of quality without a Painkiller swagger then I'm ok with that.

We'll see with the first single from the new album whenever that may be,if its not Painkiller-like then Brian and hellrider31038 can save thier money and simply "not buy the album".Its that simple.Think of it this way,if the new album doesn't turn out like Painkiller then at least they can't take away the copy of Painkiller from you and you can pump Judas Priest's Painkiller and sell every other disc since they are not like Painkiller including "Unleashed In The East".

But We'll see what is delivered,I just think that now I have a better chance at getting a british heavy metal masterpiece with this next album because if it turns out like Angel Of Retribution or Defenders Of The Faith then I'll be in the same spot that Nostradamus fans are in now,I always envy those Nostradamus fans because "to them" they received a masterpiece from my favorite band  that has more albums than just "Painkiller".....Judas Priest!!!

It's just my opinion you stupid ignorant jerk, if you can't handle it then don't read it. Like I said below, everyone has their own opinion. If you think Sad Wings is better than Painkiller then big deal. I don't care one way or the other.. jerk. And this has nothing to do with Iron Maiden. Why do you always have to bring up Iron Maiden in the middle of everything???? Scheez!  Painkiller swagger is what i't's about.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. Why isn't that jack off at the Iron Maiden forum instead of here? He is obviously just trying to "butter up" hellrider and rub his balls because of his love for the Painkiller album, don't worry hellrider sees right through this bullshit. Sure hellrider's fav album is Painkiller but if the new album were to turn out like a sound of Angel Of Retribution with all 10 songs heavy as shit like Judas Rising,Demonizer and Hellrider with no soft songs I'm sure hellrider would love it even if it didn't have the fuckin "Painkiller swagger". Hellrider is a "Judas Priest" fan,not just a "Painkiller fan" and trying to rub his balls and butter him up isn't going to change that fact.

Thank BUDDHA for your voice of reason here. I was thinking the same thing when I read his statement (yet again).

Maybe if Brian just played Painkiller backwards it would make him happy.

CRANK IT!

So if the new album comes out with of course it's own personality but still in the vien like the sound and style of albums like Hell Bent For Leather,British Steel,Screaming For Vengeance,Defenders Of The Faith or Angel Of Retribution then the album will not be any good to you? If so then you are a Painkiller fan only? If that is the truth then why are you even here? Judas Priest's next album doesn't have to have a Painkiller swagger to be "better" than Painkiller.  I actually think that Sad Wings Of Destiny is "better" than Painkiller. Judas Priest isn't all about "Painkiller".  Priest has to make the next album like one album in thier career"Painkiller" and yet its ok with you that Iron maiden can do anything and its ok with you even if you've never even heard it yet? Your fucking "pathetic" and I don't buy it,I call bullshit.

I agree with you there man,100%, the new cd will have to have quality solos, vocals, bass, drums ect. These are the essential elements of a quality metal cd, especially the solos. But also it's gonna have to have what I've been describing here as the Painkiller swagger. Painkiller was one bad boy of a cd and contained a certain metal swagger they need to get back. I think they can do this and create another bad boy cd with that metal swagger. Sure it can have its own character like you were saying but Painkiller is definitely the direction they need to take. Now I know some people will disagree and everyone has their opinion so I respect that too. If I'm reading you right here  your favorite Priest cd is Painkiller so I doubt you will be disappointed if the new cd is similar to Painkiller.

Heeyy, how about the sound of a massive explosion, then the guitar riff slowly coming out of it and taking over, wouldn't that be the greatest intro EVER for a Judas Priest song/album?
