TOOL is another way over-rated band in my book. I tried to get into them. People were telling me how awesome they were. I listened to their stuff. It's all crap. Especially 100,000,000 Eyes or whatever it's called. What a pile of shit that cd is! People! Tool is nothing! I don't give a shit if they put on an impressive light show at their concerts. The music still sucks ass!

Yeah, Green Day is pretty overrated. Their songs these days all sound the same to me LOL!

Would certainly  agree with Green Day- I listened to them as a kid because everyone else did back then but unlike other bands from my earlier years which I then came to realise were actually a bit rubbish (eg. Linkin Park, Simple Plan) I have no nostalgic feelings for Green Day at all. They bore me immensely.

But I find it hard to beat up on Metallica- I love their new album, and they were the first metal band I ever listened to. I know St. Anger is an awful album but I cannot stop liking them. That's just me though.

Here's  an overrated band for ya. Green Day. I hate them. Fuckin 40 year old emos.
[Becks] Saturday, December 05, 2009 1:56:07 PM
LMFAO what a pack of losers! I hate Kings of Leon too, especially that stupid song where the singer mumbles away and the only words I can make out is 'radio' and 'asshole'. And yeah, Metallica is the most overrated metal band in history. Their first 4 albums are awesome, I enjoy the black album too but that's a personal preference, but after that, a big fat MEH. Especially to St Anger! Some people complain about Priests lyrics, to which I say, fuck off, listen to St Anger if you want to hear dumb lyrics 'St Anger round my neck! He never gets respect!' WTF?!?!?!

Me too, fucking hillbilly emos. Saw them live at the Big Day Out which is a music festival we have over here. They had a pink drumset. I was not impressed. Said to my brother "fuck this" and we went off and drank beer till Iggy Pop and the Stooges came on.

You're absolutely right about Saint Anger! Another band I hate with a passion are the Kings Of Leon. I still cannot see what all the hoopla is about. The 2000's have to be the most boring decade in rock history.

They did do that and it did sell a million, St Anger. They were fucking loud fart noises though.

The most overrated metal band has to be Metallica. Their first five albums were cool, but they haven't released anything decent since 1991. Metallica could put out an album with nothing but fart noises and still sell a million copies.

Overrated bands.....Iron Maiden.Don't get me wrong,I've like Maiden since 1982 when I first heard The Number Of The Beast so I like Iron Maiden, but I think they have too many albums that are of less quality as thier first 5 studio albums from Iron Maiden to Powerslave. The only 3 that are good after Powerslave are Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son,Brave New World and A Matter Of Life And Death. Add one or take one away they still have too many albums that are not that great yet they still get all the hype and attention, you would think that with that much popularity they would have a more albums that are kick ass in thier discography.

Yup, that's Madonna.

U2 as a whole is one of the most overrated band in existence these days - it's just Bonos pedastool to sit on to tout his save the world stuff.
I agree with you totally about Jack White, he's an emo fucktard, that doorbell song really grinds my fucking gears, it's designed to get stuck in your head and rot your brain, argh I hate it! And the Bond soundtrack thing, I agree, crazy! Just like when Madonna recorded the Die Another Day song, WTF was that! Madonna is poo!

Didn't think you'd be into The Edge Becks, the guy is a tard. You know what infuriates me most about Jack White? The fact that he wrote the theme song to the last Bond movie. If you look at the life of Bond, all he does is travel to exotic locations, drive cool cars, screw hot women, skull martinis and execute foreign scumbags on behalf of the Queen. Why the fuck would the producers ask a sap who covered I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself and Dolly Partons Jolene and also wrote My Doorbell to write the soundtrack to Bond. Inappropriate as hell. Bond is a ruthless killer, Jack White is an emo nerd.

I agree with you, I should have mentioned the only one of those 3 who I think is a legend is Jimmy Page - the documentary touted them all as such, made me barf at all but Page lol.

Fucking Hell. The Edge? The most boring twat on the planet apart from his lead singer. Jimmy Page, Pete Townsend, Keith Richards and Angus Young, now that would be guitar legends.

Completely agree with you here JJ!!!! I can't stand the White Stripes. I saw a doco was coming out featuring 3 guitar legends, The Edge, Jimmy Page and......................Jack White. WTF?!?!?!?!?! Legend my ass.

The White Stripes. Pure shite. Jack Whites girly, phony sensitive vocals fucking irritate me. Would love to see Zakk Wylde pull out an amazing, shredding guitar solo and then smash his guitar over Jack Whites head.
[Steve Forrest] Friday, December 04, 2009 4:59:53 PM
Glen Benton has also been doing the vocals for Vital Remains lately. They are good, but the problem is all those songs sound the same. I can only take it in small doses.

Yeah Bon Jovi is definately overrated!! lol!  Hey,going back to Deicide, thier 2nd album 'Legion" 1992 is excellent,I bought it the day it was released, and 1995's Once Upon The Cross is absolutely excellent. But everything after that album went down hill. Serpents Of The Light was cool but showed they had lost thier strive and were not hungry anymore.Nowadays the band is TERRIBLE.
