I went to see a couple of tribute bands a few weeks ago. These guys are called "Beatlmania Magic" A Tribute To The Beatles.
I'm not a Beatles fan other than a few songs but I would say these guys did a good job of recreating the Beatles. The video below
is a Kiss tribute band called "Dressed To Kill". I saw them last year and they were great. This year not so much. Many sound issues.

I don't mind at all and so what if I did. Anyone can post here.
I do wanna say that you must be tuned into the kind of music I like. I'm all over the place on what I can listen to
but my favorite style is that slower melodic heavy kind of grind and you post that stuff alot. Sahg, Red Fang, etc.
I dug one that you posted but I forget their names. Maybe you could post another one. You referred to them as
New Zealand"s best export as far as music. (Not your exact words but maybe you'll know who I mean.) Peace! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Friday, September 21, 2012 7:45:06 AM)

I agree. The short haired dude kind of surprised me. I wasn't expecting him to be able to sing like that.
Even though most of the band didn't have that "Metal" look they performed great. Some of the Sabbath
stuff may have sounded a little better than the original because of the twin guitars. If I did this right this should
be a link to my playlist on youtube. There are 11 videos (12 songs). http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL43F716222140DF49&feature=view_all
I figured this would be better than posting them here. There is some good stuff here. Check it out. Peace. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Tuesday, August 28, 2012 12:13:11 AM)

I'm glad I went to see the tribute band "Sabbath Judas Sabbath" last night. They were pretty good.
Considering how it was all done I was impressed. I guess (S.J.S.) is not a touring act. From what I was able to
piece together listening to him talk in between songs there may be 7 incarnations of (S.J.S.). James Rivera
chooses local talent to play the instruments and he provides the vocals. Last nights band practiced for the last 8 months
with their singer and the night before the show Rivera flew in from Houston and rehearsed the show with them. The local band
is called Xander Demos(lead guitarist's name) and the two guitar players are freakin' badass. Here's "Heaven And Hell".
They invited Xander's vocalist and another guy to sing along on this. You should love the guitar work at the end of
this video.
Hope you guys watch these videos. They're pretty good. Peace.

I was going to post a couple more videos from Saturday night but it seems like there's no one here to watch them.

This is from the show last night. I'm way too tired right now. I'll post a review and more vids tomorrow.

I cant watch the vid cause my sound card is shot. well I can watch it silently.
I have heard the song though, and its ok. not great, but decent.
I must admit that I'm a little surprised.
You seem to be more open to different styles of music than some here but because it's
Nu Metal I wasn't expecting anything positive as far as comments go. Thanks. Peace.

Agreed.
I think I like K.E.'s version because they don't try to copy Dio.
Their singer (?) screams parts and sings parts and they heavy it up a bit. You know
you're listening to a Dio song but it sounds like a Killswitch Engage song if that makes sense.
I think them trying to do a copy would have been laughable. I said I would spare you guys
the videos but I'll post Holy Diver.
@ anyone
Has anyone here heard of James Rivera's Sabbath Judas Sabbath (tribute)?
It's coming to Pittsburgh on Saturday and I was considering going. I'll check Youtube
for videos but if the quality is poor it would be hard to gauge just how good they may be.
The problem for me is do I go to Pittsburgh for that or do I go to Cleveland that night for
Mushroomhead (oldschool show)(w/ former members)? You guys don't have to
answer that part of the question, I know what the overwhelming response would be.(lol)
This really is a tough one for me. Peace all. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Head banger from Thursday, August 16, 2012 7:48:05 PM)

I didn't care for some of the early bands. (Battlecross, God Forbid, and Emmure.
I thought Pop Evil would suck but they weren't too bad. A little poppy but they put on
a high energy show. They opened up pretty heavy and closed the same. Good crowd
interaction also. Trivium wasn't bad and Killswitch Engage was tolerable. I loved their
version of Holy Diver. (Yeah, you guys would hate it.) (lol) Five Finger Death Punch
put on a fantastic show. Ivan is one of the few singers who you can actually understand
when he sings without reading the lyrics first. Very heavy except an acoustic version
of "Remember Everything". Overall probably one of the best live performances that I've
seen the last couple of years. I'll spare you guys the videos.
