I agree if they do a tour in 2011 for Nostradamus we won't get a new album for at least another 2 years probably a little longer,that would drag pretty much into January 2013? Wow.

I will admit it was the first step towards the bottom for them. I think they could have recovered
from that point because the album wasn't that bad. The problem was following it up with that "Load"
of shit they laid on us. Slight recovery with "Reload" and then their demise with "ST. Anger".

I think more people like the Angel Of Retribution album than you may think hellrider,I respect your opinion about the album but there is no way that it possibly sounds like The Black Album,or as crappy song writting as the black album,if it were there would be more of a percentage of forum members barking it out like they did with the release of Nostradamus,yet the only 2 who hate it are you and Brian.Its your opinion,its all good man. I remember running out to Best Buy to get it the day that it was released. I ran out of the store ripping the plastic off - not a moment to waste. I put it into the car CD player hoping that it would play since I got the dual disc version. The moment I heard Judas Rising, I KNEW that the PRIEST WAS BACK!! It is absolutely classic Priest all the way and I was in heaven..... it had been WAAAAAAAAY too long since they released an album like that. No offense to Ripper, but those two albums were not classic Priest. I love the album. No, it isn't hardcore like Painkiller, but it is classic Priest all the way and has all the reasons that I fell in love with Priest to begin with back in '82.

If this entire forum and even outside the forum all hated Angel Of Retribution it wouldn't phase me in the least,the album is a kick ass Judas Priest british heavy metal album in my book,thats all that matters to me.Everytime I hear it,it makes me thankful that they delivered such a classic album,only one bad song and thankfully its the last track. Painkiller is excellent but not every track is top notch either,I really don't think One Shot At Glory is one of thier best songs either,and at least that track is the last on the album lol!! You and others can call it the "black album" and I'll put it in and enjoy a classic british heavy metal album.But if you or Brian don't like the album,more power to ya! No disrespect, of course, but I think that statement is way off base. Add me as another who falls quite solidly into the "AOR is awesome (save Lochness)" camp. LOL!
well if you look around i think you will find that alot of people share my opinion on the album.no offence of coarse but in my opinion the majority of it sounds like metallica black album.i also find the album has to much to variety

I guess you and others view me the same way with Retribution......yeah that album is classic Judas Priest heavy metal,even "Worth Fighting For"....classic Judas Priest thats not thier heaviest,but niether is "Solor Angels" or neither is "A Touch Of Evil" or "One Shot At Glory". We'll just have to wait and see what the band has for all of us,I'm sure I won't be disappointed,but I know others will be.
