Those are Ticket Broker "resale" prices. Funny how they can "resell" tickets that haven't even gone on sale yet, isn't it? Ticketmaster doesn't even have the Dallas show on sale yet - I think it goes on sale June 11th? Ticketbastard has already sold blocks of the good seats to the Ticket Brokers before they even go on sale! Bullshit isn't it???

"A fucked up way of taking advantage of diehards" - and that's the point Budred! I do give a shit where I sit for the Detroit show because we are bringing our 12 and 9 year old sons to the show and they won't be able to see. I have met MANY bands waiting by the buses as well. Met Priest in Cleveland as a matter of fact. Well, all except for Rob because he ran straight along the backside of the bus and never stopped. The prices for Chicago are $55-$150 per The Venue website, so that is what Ticketmaster should charge once they go up. Detroit tickets have been on sale at Ticketbastard since Saturday.

This person is right about me. I don't always get the seats I want and yes I have enjoyed myself.
Other than Cheech and Chong everyone I met was a result of hanging out before or after a show by the buses.
I did comment about the good seats going to resale outlets. I don't necessarily want front row I just think that
that's a fucked up way of taking advantage of diehards. My concern is the prices and the ones I saw weren't regular
prices so I'll hold my comments until I see them. If the prices are fair I hope to do a road trip to Chicago and Detroit
and hopefully a Pittsburgh date. Maybe a little much but if it's the last time then I feel I have to. |

But honey, calm down. They're only tickets to a show not hospital beds.
Who is forcing you to buy tickets at 5x the actual price? Is anybody twisting your arm? Aren't there more than scalpers websites where you can purchase your tickets? Then be patient and take your time shopping around.
As you said, the tix are not even on sale!
And now you know: JP is not in their right fucking minds. But were they ever?
I'm going to write another country song:
The Day KK Left The Band, is the title of this titty.

Ozzy blocks off the ENTIRE FIRST 10 ROWS for the package deals. You have to go to Will Call and show ID to get your ticket the day of the show. Therefore completely eliminating scalpers from buying those tickets. Journey and Def Leppard are doing the same thing. Iron Maiden has always done it. The Scorpions just did it last year. Let me make this clear to you - THE TICKETS ARE NOT EVEN ON SALE TO THE PUBLIC YET AND THE TICKET RESALE SITES ALREADY HAVE THE FRONT ROW TICKETS ON SALE FOR UP TO 5X THE ACTUAL TICKET PRICE. Do you get it yet?????? Ticketbastard has contracts with the ticket brokers and unless MANAGEMENT of the band blocks off seats - which as I just explained to you has been done by MANY BANDS so IT CAN AND IS DONE, Ticketbastard will do this to increase their profits.
Who knows, maybe JP and management get a cut of the $$$ from the ticket brokers. Jayne and Bill need to pad their retirement after all since NO OTHER BAND IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MINDS would ever hire them!!

THAT is how a band keeps those seats for its fans!!! It just looks to me like JP and their management just don't care, as long as the seats get sold. Well, they are going to have the same situation that I saw in Cincinnati: people in the front row standing 5 feet back from the barrier looking bored. We won auction seats for the front row and were in the middle. Glenn finally was so frustrated that he noticed us and started playing in the middle!! So, the band WILL care come show time, but they don't seem to see why this is happening in the first place and that THEY CAN PREVENT IT!!

I don't think I'll be going to multiple shows if the good seats are $150.00. WTF? I love Priest more than any other
band but not enough to pay that much. And if what I'm reading here about the first 12 to 14 rows being gone already
you may as well go with the cheap seats. This whole fucking tour is turning into a debacle. If there is any good to any
of this it's that it's happening at the end of their career and not in their prime. I would have bailed on them long ago.

Judas Priest is doing what they've always done.
If you by now don't know it, then stick to the bands you are comparing Priest with, go see their shows instead, as they do things the way YOU WANT them to, and leave Judas Priest to the real fans who don't care about being close to them enough to chew their eyeballs out. You see, by now everybody knows how each of them looks like. Ticket sales will be what ticket sales will be. Navigate the morass the best way you know how and good luck. By "you" I mean Plural.
If you are there for the music and the show, then being closest to the stage isn't your best spot. Each venue will have their policy and many go to the same place to see other shows and know their way around their local theaters. Budred, for example, has met tons of bands and not always he's been able to get the seats he wanted. It looks like he has enjoyed himself, though.
Instead of doing the high school ganging up on/ goading for heated replies - and you should be lucky I'm throwing you some pearls - why don't you be more like the other thousands of fans worldwide who will be happy to attend their shows no matter where they'll be in the audience? Your American style of crap slinging is old.
I don't care about Ozzy Osbourne Meet and Greet packages.

Hmm....so you're saying that other bands managements are involved in the reservation of blocks of seats?
That you have to consider the other two bands who also have contracts with each venue?
Judas Priest are gods but have limitations. Venus, Mars and even Zeus had to obey certain rules.

Those are resale prices. Chicago doesn't even go on sale through Ticketbastard until June 10th!!! And yet there are suites and seats for sale? Which begs the question, how can you REsell tickets that haven't even been sold yet??? So obviously, Ticketbastard has a contract with these "resellers" and they get certain blocks of seats (the good seats that we all want) before they ever go on sale. That is why bands like Def Leppard, Scorpions, Journey, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Queensryche just to name a few, have in their contracts with these very same venues that JP is going to, that the first 10 rows or so are blocked off for packages.

I got "Pit Passes" for Mayhem and they were only $75.00 and that's an all day event.
Tickets for Rock on the Range for field passes were $125.00 and that was for an all day event two days in a row.
Oh' well, I have my memories I guess.
