Oh yes it's tax time there isn't it? I have to say it sounds like a nightmare. I'm glad here in NZ we use the PAYE (pay as you earn) system.
The postal system is pissing me off. Craig ordered something from Amazon that couldn't be delivered directly to NZ, so he had it shipped to someone he knows in Florida. It was delivered there and apparently sent on to NZ but two months later WHERE THE HELL IS IT?! Craig also sent a parcel to this person as a way of thanks for what he's done and it got returned to sender by the USPS due to 'insufficient address' but we know this address exists so WTF USPS?! Got to try and ring USPS in the morning cos they aren't open at the moment apparently. Gah so frustrating!

not sure who's fault it was, band/club but I messaged them (Ventana) on facebook and they said they didn't have a light guy
that night and their fog guy tweaked out. I drove 3hrs. to see fog and shadows. Still loved them though.

I am pissed off at the hassle I just went through to upgrade the RAM in an Acer Aspire One! I swear, I want to strangle the engineers who thought this one up. It is a small webbook meaning all screws are .01 and smaller Phillips screws, you have to pop the keyboard, take off the base, take OUT the motherboard (first having to remove the wireless connector, strips connecting the keyboard, screen and trackpad just to get at the bottom of the motherboard where you can finally access the RAM socket! AARGH!
Funny thing is it wasn't even out of need. Just one of those things that I felt the need to do. I even just bought a new Aspire One (great deal on Black Friday for a high def screen!) which, I am glad to report, now has a single screw on the bottom to get at what I just had to do in the old model. Ew-scray, e-may!!
Only thing that equals it is replacing the vibrate button on an iPhone that many a friend has asked me to repair. Same nonsense.

Bragged up the pair I got for Christmas. Wish I wouldn't have. Great sound quality but the cord they supply is defective.
You have to play with the cord to get the sound right. I took a pair back and the second pair was worse. Took them back
and the third pair only worked on one side. I tried them in my computer and my iPod and they were the same. I talked to
a friend and his do the same thing and I brought it up to the cashier and she has the same issue also. F#ck that!!!!
$200.00 and they do that. I got my money back. I have a pair of Sony's that I paid $35.00 for on clearance.
They have deep bass and good sound. They'll suffice.

They were really going to have an actual rock concert in the city tonight. Rare occasion. Especially when it isn't a Christian band.
Of course, it would have to be on the night when we finally get a break from the drought. Massive storm. Perfect timing, too. Right when they were going to try and harvest the soy and cotton that was dead in the fields (corn was a total loss). Now the rain will make it all but impossible.
Glad I don't own a farm.

What?! You didn't like Ming the Merciless doing Cabaret?! LOL!!! What the hell was Tate smoking when he came up with that crap? I think I watched all of three minutes of that show before I felt my stomach begin to turn. Yet he has the audacity to claim that the band was "on board" with him. "One vote per member." Yeah, right. Pull the other one, Geoff. Still, I'll not sell the base of my flying V with all original QR members signatures on it, I'll continue to remember them the way they were and hope they have a better, HARD ROCK future without Ming.
I LOVED Zakk! As I posted in the "happy" thread, he and Lynch were a breath of fresh air to that otherwise pity party that Tate was having on TMS. Notice how he hardly said a word once Zakk swooped in with his headdress, stories about flinging crap and always good-natured ribbing of Eddie Trunk and the boys? Too funny. Even when they were rolling the credits, you saw Ming slouching there in his melancholic depression while Zakk was giving swag out to the studio audience. Class act, there.

I told him that The Warning was my favorite album and he looked at me like I was crazy. The rest of the band thought it was awesome that we loved The Warning, but not Geoff. Whose idea do you think that Cabaret bullshit tour was???? Yeah, Geoff's. We could tell they were not getting along when we met them. The rest of the band wanted to play all the old stuff and loved that we brought all our old QR stuff to be signed. I told Eddie that I really miss hearing Take Hold Of The Flame and he said they want to play it but Geoff can't sing it. I told him that they should just let the crowd sing it then and he said, shit - I'LL SING IT! So this complete BULLSHIT that Geoff spewed on TMS that he only has one vote and they never faught..... yeah right. As a fan, it was completely obvious that they wanted to go back to their roots of METAL and Geoff doesn't want to be metal anymore and has said it over and over again. They finally found someone that can take Geoff's place and Todd is AWESOME!!! Goeff hired his wife as manager, his daughter to run the front office and his son-in-law as a guitar tech. Not to mention his wife's ex-husband played keyboard and sang all the high parts because Geoff couldn't hit the notes. Hmmmmm, I'd say he has a bit more control of things than he would like everyone else to believe! The FOUNDING members of QR - Eddie, Scott and Whip are so happy to be free of Geoff and are writing a new METAL album with Todd. As a fan of OLD QR, I am so happy to hear that they are going back to their metal roots and will not be writing the complete shit that Geoff has been writing since Promised Land!!

for the ignition. NO. if its a key with teath you dont want a wet lubricant. dry powered graphite. comes in a squeeze tube. just a little, put a bag down on the carpet cause any you spill will make a mess.
in fact try it on your house before you do it in the car, the exterior door wont mater so much if you spill on the step.

Reading all the reviews about how bad the TV coverage was by NBC here, I see that more than metalheads were upset (and also now understand your reference to "One erection" pffft. Boy band).
So they put on the Pet Shop Boys and Madness but not even a riff or two from Led Zeppelin?!? Last I saw, they were kinda influential and were from England. Just a little bit. I guess that creature of a DJ playing in a giant octopus or the guy singing the Willy Wonka song were more musically important.
Worse? I watched the rebroadcast hoping to see the ACTUAL Who and/or Ray Davies. Nope. Rebroadcast cut the ending even worse than the original! Amazing as it was all time-delayed!!
You think that they could have made better decisions...like finding someone else to direct that fiasco of a show and firing the programming heads at NBC!

Worse? I watched the rebroadcast hoping to see the ACTUAL Who and/or Ray Davies. Nope. Rebroadcast cut the ending even worse than the original! Amazing as it was all time-delayed!!
You think that they could have made better decisions...like finding someone else to direct that fiasco of a show and firing the programming heads at NBC!
Yeah same here in BC, it cut into some other show. I cant believe out of all the types of music they forgot metal. Metal originated in Britain!!! I hate how they played songs twice when they could've replaced it with some metal. Those commentators said something like "The Olympics has been so successful, absolutely no one is disappointed." I bet every metal head, every priest fan, maiden, and Sabbath fan is some what disappointed.

Saints be praised! Friend of a friend's recommendation had two guys out here at 10pm and got a TN fix going to push some cool air through the house. Back tomorrow in the daylight to fix it up proper. SCREW the "Train Techs" in my backyard. Give me Bubba (his name was actualy "Otis" ... no joke!) with a wrench who is willing to break "store hours" to help a guy out for extra pay any day.
Prolly cost as much as my trip to the Cayman Isles for an 10-11pm call but at least I'll be able to avoid sleeping in my car!
