Ok, now I understand. It was actually my x-husband who told me that was the term for it. He lived in Germany for a short while and his friend Peter was taking the class, I'm sure he just did not remember correctly. At that time he was still speaking english, his native language is Greek and he was taking German classes. He said At times he could not remember Greek, he was getting so confused.

"Meister" it's a title in handcraft occupations, like
"Fleischermeister" ("Fleischer" - Butcher") or
"Bäckermeister" (Baker) or Painter ("Malermeister") aso.
"Master" is correct.

I have forgotten:
"Jäger" - "Hunter"
"Förster" - "Rancher"

I knew it was something like that, because Germany is pretty strict on who can have what when I comes to guns. You must pass a class to qualify to hunt. I think it should be like that everywhere.

Sorry, I was in busy.

"Jägermeister" is an alcoholical beverage.
What Susan mean is an "Jäger" or a "Förster"

You can own firearms if you're a member of an shooting club.
Or when you are a member in a club of sport gunners.

His father was a member, that why he legal own his firearms
and all the ammunition.

There is a big street dealing of guns in this country. And You still need no licence to buy a riffle. You may have one of those from the local K-mart or Wal-mart. They can kill animals, and they have certainly killed many humans as well.

Perhaps in other countries.... But seriously its hard to get guns, even illegal one's.... Hell! even BB guns are illegal here. They have to be registered. It's not like you can go into a shop and buy one.

Agreed Becks, it is. But the illegal guns are the biggest problem IMO.

I read about what happened in Germany, it's so horribly sad I really don't understand those people that are capable of things like this.

I've handled many weapons in the last few years with my being in the Army part time, and in civilian situations I have only ever handled them in a very controlled environment. There has never been a school shooting here in New Zealand either. When my father in law got his pistol licence, in took MONTHS of red tape, the police interviewed him, his girlfriend, co-workers, just about everyone they could get their hands on, to see if he was fit to have a pistol licence. It was a lengthy and costly procedure, but the right way to go about things IMO.

so do i lol. but it took me 6 months to get a licsense and many visits from the police. it also has to be locked in a gun cabinet.

I know.... I think that if someone wants to top themselves then fine!, just don't take innocent people with you.... I'd really like to know what goes through these people's heads when they are considering commiting a mass shooting ( that's my inner criminologist speaking)...

In all my years i have never handled a live firearm... The only gun i used was a pellet gun when i was doing firearms training in the cadets. ( I'm a good shot too  )

His name was Tim K. He was going from classroom to classroom, he has injured a lot of students. He has killed
the 9 students and 3 teachers with shots in the head.
He was armed with an automatic pistol and over 100 rounds
of ammunition. And he was in training in a shooting club
like his father.

A new law has passed that will make it harder to get a gun, but the real problem is all the guns on the street that have never been registered and pour into this country like water.
