Majestyks reaction is priceless. He comes in, surveys the slaughter of all those innocent watermelons and the camera zooms in on his hand as his fist clenches. It's brilliant. After that he goes on killing spree, as you do when you see watermelons suffer.
I love that movie. That bit where the bad guys come in and shoot up all his watermelons is a crack up. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Brian_Evans from Friday, May 21, 2010 12:02:25 AM)

Just came back from watching Iron Man 2. 'Twas kewl.
Only thing that would have made it better was if they played Iron Man the song as part of the soundtrack.

I've seen both Kick Ass and Death at a Funeral within the last 3 weeks.
Kick Ass was hysterical and Death at a Funeral was genuinely funny. I really enjoyed how they built up to the funny moments and threw in a couple of random scenes that made you go "OMG!" out loud.

I saw this movie called Killshot yesterday. Mickey Rourke plays this Indian hitman ( cherokee, not like gandhi ) who goes after this couple because they witness himself and his sidekick commit a crime. Pretty standard stuff but entertaining. Joseph Gordon Levitt is good as the sidekick. Based on an Elmore Leonard book.
Actually saw another Mickey Rourke one last week too, Barfly. Rourke plays this absolute derelict who is discovered to have a talent for writing. Faye Dunaway plays his drunken whore of a girlfriend. It's actually quite funny. Sly Stallones brother Frank is in it too, he plays a bartender who despises Rourke to the extent that every night they are going out into the alley behind the bar to scrap it out. It was pretty good.

What's this I've read about Scorsese and DeNIro planning to either remake Taxi Driver or make a sequel in which Travis is older? I hope they don't do it. Taxi Driver is not the kind of movie that needs a sequel and it definately doesn't need to be remade, DeNiro is 66 now the article was saying, it wouldn't be the same. Besides there's already enough movies been made about old guys kicking ass, Death Wish 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 ( Charles Bronson ) spring to mind, Gran Torino ( Clint Eastwood ), Rambo 4 ( Sly ), Unforgiven ( Clint again ), Taken ( Liam Neeson ), Collateral Damage ( Arnie ), it's getting ridiculous.

Watching the remake of the Omen. WTF? What makes someone think that putting same script with almost the same camera angles only with new actors will generate cash? Is Hollywood THAT out of ideas?
Just seeing Julia Stiles and Mia Farrow redoing this masterpiece only makes me want to break out the original again. Like a train-wreck, though. I just can't stop watching until the horrible end. Two thumbs down save for the cameraman getting it in the head with a little different twist. Still prefer the original.

I loved Zombieland that was definitly movie of the year for me. Funny People was a huge dissappointment. Sandler/Rogen should've been one of the funniest comedies ever but it was a long, ill thought out slog of a flick. Eminem and Ray Romano were the best part of that whole movie.

Well, Borat was OK... But if you ever watch it, you only need to see the first half hour. After that it just starts to repeat itself. Kinda like Doors songs. It would be great if they would make them 3 or 4 times shorter.

went to the drive-in last night--saw Transformers I believe # 3 & Year One with Jack Black
Transformers 3 was extremely good what with all the special effects--the only thing is I have yet to see Transformers 1 & 2 & Year One was ssooo funny but I like everything Jack Black has been in so far
A very relaxing night at the drive-in for this chick !!
Pigged out a little too much on the burgers & fries though--totally blew my diet & I kept going back for the FROZEN Reese's Cups--frozen is soo much better !!
My only complaint would be --the snack bar served Hunt's ketchup & I'm a Heinz Ketchup girl all the way--my dear ol'daddy worked for the heinz company & though I have tried other brands of ketchup my heart belongs to Heinz !!
but the hot pretzel made up for that --not to mention the snack bar has nachos & cheese now --I spent $ 15 on food & only $ 6 for two movies--go figure !--lol
mental note to self--bring own bottle of Heinz Ketchup next time at the drive-in !!

Just finished watching the Dark Knight. I guess I had my hopes set too high, because I was a little disappointed in the show. Too much overpsychoanalysis of Batman, the Joker, and Two-Face for me. Heck, I'd have traded all that in for more Bruce Wayne scenes or a few additional action shots. Don't get me wrong - it was a good movie. Just could have been better. GOD! I forgot about G.I Joes..that was fun to look at..wow..ur lucky to have those books..and Yes,thank God! for A.D.Foster..
Being an avid cartoon person in my pre through teen years....I was a fan of both the Transformers and G.I. Joe cartoons - among others. I greatly enjoyed the first one, got the movie-tie-in books for both the first and second ones in addition to the filler books that provide some decent backround for the movie. God Bless Alan Dean Foster!

I watched Transformers 2 earlier today. There's a bit more comic relief in this one than in the first one, and a bigger amount of action scenes. Overall, it was pretty good.

They needed a drummer and he was consistant. What can you say. As much as I don't like him. He did stick with Priest longer than any drummer they had. 10 years. Where do you think the thing about the exploding drummer came from in Spinal Tap? It was parody of them not being able to keep a consistent drummer for so many years. Weather direct or indirect that was a dig at JP. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Friday, June 26, 2009 8:43:27 PM)

Go to the web site that made your computer, type in the make and model and search for the sound driver for your computer.
Install it, restart and if it works, you just saved yourself some cash. That happens alot when you have computers worked on to loose a driver. So try that before anything else.

maybe...how can I tell??
