Hmmm...while I think you are a little harsh on Glenn (hey, we all have our moments), I do appreciate knowing what to expect.
What was the food? Any beer?? Were you able to take whatever you had autographed back to the car? How about pictures with the band? I see that cameras are prohibited (as usual) but I don't see much difference between a camera now and a cellphone that can take pictures. I'd love to take my camera to the Dallas show but not if it will get taken away or get me booted. How does one get a picture at the VIP and NOT bring it into the show?
Curious minds want to know! Anyone else, feel free to chime in! I would be a little disapionted if that's how it went, but their management has a reputation for hurrying fans along.
I am no back stage girl. I just want to meet my icons of metal.
I hope It will be a good experience. With the guys I'm sure that will be fine, with the management , i expect more of the same. Niiiice!!!
For anyone else going VIP Platinum before the Dallas show, please post. Especially the answers to the supposed "trivia questions" that they said they would be asking. Oh yeah, and if there is free beer and food! |

Hi there,
the package was 128USD! (as far as I remember, since it was in München, I payed in €. 98 of them..).
But really, I don´t want to speak badly about it in general. As I said, Rob and the rest of the lads were really great.
I just hope, if this guy ( manager or whatever he is) goes on like that, that the people will also complain about HIM.
And it still was worth all the money we payed. That ,however, depends what your willing to pay for an happening like that. I am quite sure, that if it hadn´t been my favoured band, I wouldn´t have paid so much money to see them. It was like fulfilling a dream! Ok, actually it really was. Great.
So every body who dreamed of been so close to them, even if it´s only 10min, DO IT! Forget the money! Money you can get again, but the chance of standing in the middle of the Metal gods is what you aren´t likely to have that many times again.

just wondering how much it cost? They have an offer for this on Metal Masters tour in the states, I passed due to the price and needed two I still got great seats center about 25 rows back. Would love to see them and get a pic but to much $$ [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by flusi from Thursday, July 10, 2008 5:56:41 AM) | | flusi wrote: | | Hey there,
did anyone booked the Meet and Greet package and if so, how/what was your experience?
Me and my brother booked it and were there in Munich, 24.06.08. It was a short, but great experience . Well, most of it.
The Band itself was very great, nice and patient. All in all seven people booked that package and were there. They ( the Band) were chatting with us (a little) and signed CD´s as well as various T-shirts. They even would´ve spend more time (this was my impression), if not their manager - or whoever this olderly guy was- would´ve stressed everybody around. Faster here, faster there, shouting at the fans to expedite and it was him who took ONE picture of me and the band with my camera. So I was really lucky, that the picture was a good one (sharp etc.) . Really, if this manager would not have been there, it would´ve been much more exciting for us.
Just to make that clear again:
Judas Priest, the Band members, very very nice and patient and friendly and unstressed. My impression was, that they even would´ve stayed another five minutes or so to take their time for us fans (for pictures and singaturesor whatever ). However, the manager guy ended the session (which took place in the stairway of the hall!) after 10-15 min of shouting and pushing us around!
Nevertheless it was an very exciting experience to be so close to my favourite band, I ever dreamed of this thing to happen. AND IT DID! WOW!
PS: And since I am too bloody stupid to upload a picture, you fail to see me in the middle of Rob, K.K., Glen and Ian! Sad for you ;-) |

Thank You for that info. When i saw the meet and greet package option i didnot go for it for that reason.
plus i would either melt on the spot or irritate everyone by trying to sing with rob. I just wanna do one scream with rob.
So now i am 10th ro center and i believe i will have several screams with rob along with allof the fans. i hope to get eye contact. |
