Not much! Flora is with her Dad for a couple of days, so now I have two mafia wars accounts to keep track of. lol She asked me to keep her account going so she did not fall behind. She got a kick ass laptop from "santa" this year, but she would not take it to her Dad's house as she was afraid he, in his good intentions, would mess it up! HA!! No, it isn't the site, it is your computer. Specifically, the little java applet running to the right of the bar. As the name suggests, it is a basic "runtime error." VERY common.
My fix? Stop using IE as you should have done so years ago. Firefox has always been the choice of nerds and is also free. IE is a dinosaur, bloatware and runs slower then hell. Use Firefox. Free, faster, more secure and able to customize 1000x more than IE. Download, install, import your bookmarks and, voilá, problem solved.
Lemme know.

Hey everyone!
You're taking the decorations down already? Ours will likely be up until the new years party (It took that long to put them up in the first place!) but then we did end up having christmas day, then 'less stressful and annoying-relatives-less' Christmas on Boxing day. Hope everyone has had a good christmas and a relaxing holiday season. Ah yes! A very, very Happy Day-After to one and all! Boxing Day for our northern brethren, I believe? All quiet here, just as we like it. The Princess and I attended Christmas dinner at her brother's house (Prince Russel) and , as we departed, we both proclaimed aloud, "It is FINALLY over!!!!" HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Came home, lit the fire and had one last round with our tree as we watched "The Rocker" on HBO (not worth your time, by the way).
We have officially closed the book on Christmas 2009. We plan to have a full-on turkey dinner this Thursday for New Year's Eve and that will be that for the holiday season. It is almost a kind of relief, isn't it? Some very memorable moments. We got the Princess's boy a guitar , as he has expressed great interest in learning to play. As with most young lad's his age, we are concerned that this may only be a phase but we will have a teacher come to the house for the next few weeks and see how he does. I fear he sees only the glory and none of the work, which he will soon know all too well! Should he decide this is his calling, we may have a brand new "headbanger" among us!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A truly wonderful Christmas it was this year. We enjoyed it very much. I have come to appreciate this particular holiday in a way I never could when I was still working. I means so much more to me now. More meaning, less materialistc I believe. As it should be. Oh , and one last very important "shout out"...to my dear, dear friend Guido! Your gift is most appreciated and you were all too correct. It is very comforting, from time to time. All that you said it would be. Thank you, my friend.

Thought I'd take a moment, having listened to the new offerings by 'Freeze & his project, and by 'Meltdown & his project: Gotta tell ya gentlemen, both are distinctly different styles as are the folks composing & playing. 'Meltdown ... you have a way of bringing an Axe to life. Combined with Rick's vox expression, and the rest, it sounds fantastic! 'Freeze, You have a unique quality in interpretation. I enjoy the contrasting combination of styles about your project! So much creative talent in the membership here ...

Good morning / day friends of the Board...2 more days!!!

The next couple of days will be busy for me with last minute shopping and all, and we (my family) celebrate Christmas on Eve rather than the day itself as most of us have two sides of families to celebrate with. Here's to hoping we all go through our travels safely, and we bring it all back home for the New Year!!!!!! |

Sounds good, remind me someday to send you my recipe. I know you like seafood, and while feeding 30 crab devine could get expensive, it would be a nice little treat, for say.... you and the Princess'es Aniversary? Have a wonderful holiday if I don't talk to you again before then.

Anyway, THREE days until Christmas and I just returned from buying the Princess her gift. I dare not say what I got her as she is such a SNOOP she will likely even look here!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Thirty people?! And you should see the amount of food we have to make Christmas dinner for seven... shame about your weather- we've had a tonne of snow in Manchester which is very unusual these days so yesterday was a lot of fun, except for we nearly didn't make it back from church as it's all uphill and there were a few scary moments. Sadly that is probably our lot for Christmas, fog and rain all the way from now on. I remember trying to unwrap ours - I had it wrapped up like Fort Knox! LOL! Philosophy on the other hand may examine the way ideology affects others from a more distant perspective. Philosophy however may become ideology when a philosopher sets forth ideal concepts for the way people should live,it dosen't mean every person in the world, thats where people get confused as your shitty self.
Heavy metal's fans base"ala hellrider" from this website lives with an image of heavy metal aesthetics, and to him its the way metalheads should live be they chose to,I am with him as well on this, its a way of life, its simply to flawnt studs and spikes in the air saying fuck your weak as shit we are heavy metal,it doesn't have to stem from a political source or purpose do your reasearch if you want to ever pull your head out of your ass.

Yeah I understand that but a person can have their own personal ideology. And if someone wants to use the things that they think heavy metal promotes as a basis for their ideology then why not? JD is definately one of those people, he lives and breathes metal and has his own ideas about what metal should be and lives by those ideas as far as I can tell. For quite a few people gardening or soccer is an escape as well. For some gardening or soccer is a way to bond with other people and to feel happy. But it would be absolutely rediculous to say that soccer or gardening is an ideology. It might be a hobby or a way of life. Maybe there are even a few simple ideas behind it, but it is definitely not an ideology.

I can't speak for everyone here, but for me at least, heavy metal is more than just a music genre. It's an escape, a release, a way to express myself, to connect with others, and find a sense of belonging. It makes me feel happy, inspired, energised and empowered. It is a part of me in a way that I find it hard to explain, but other metal heads should be able to relate to. You're the one who has no clue. There is no heavy metal ideology. Get over it. Heavy metal is music, it's a creative expression, it's a form of art. It's not an ideology. Fascism, communism, national-socialism, maoism, feminism... those are all examples of ideologies. But there is no heavy metal ideology. Period!
For crying out loud...

If I explain this to you,it will remove all doubt that you have a fucking clue as to what heavy metal was,is and forever will be. That is the most stupid question anybody has ever asked me,go figure it came from you.

I'm jealous that you got to keep them- the one I had out was growing sideways (yes, sideways) in my mouth so it had to be removed in bits under local anesthetic. OH, HO, HO, HO, Vail!! All you want for Christmas is your Chickmonk jaws to go down and stop killing you! Poor kiddo!! I'm such a dentist paranoid, I actually trashed 3 years of braces by letting my wisdom teeth grow in to the top of my already overcrowed mouth. I'd already had 4 teeth extractions and should have let those babies go too.
My mother reminds me of this every now and again. lol [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Wednesday, December 16, 2009 9:27:45 PM) | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | Ladies and gents of the Noticeboard!! I give you: Wisdom teeth!!
These bad babies are going to be handed down from generation to generation. That, or they'll be made into jewelry when I have the money. Watcha think? Earrings or necklaces?

Hey, Necro!! Good to have you back here!!! |

No need to leave Necro, most of us are sick and tired of the two you speak of. Did you see how many of our posts were banned in this thread? Wow, pages and pages and all because of those two! I wish they would just LEAVE ALREADY - and stay gone! I didn't see what was posted to you, but your response led me to believe it wasn't very nice. I'm sorry about that. Most of us here are good people and I enjoy coming here to chat and see what is going on with everyone. I'm glad you aren't letting them run you off! So YES..... LET'S ROCK!!! And yet, even though this love-fest is all too warming to the soul, I would still decline ANY such nomination. I have enough trouble with various n'ere do-wells that complain I think myself the CEO of this site as it is! I have no desire to take command of this or any other web page. Further, I would not want the responsibility of handling social deviants with "kindness" and "understanding". Quite frankly, I would run off people so fast this place would likely be a ghost town in a few days... HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Same reason I could never be a cop. No patience. I would shoot everyone. | | guidogodoy wrote: | | You and me both are thankful for Murray, compadre. I really think he shoulders too much of our BS on himself but that is really his own choice.
Personally, I'd cut it loose. Name a few mods and unload the burden. Might just be the way I run my sites but I'd vote for you, derogatrory comments or not Papa Kraker! | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | BWAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!! Perhaps "cracker" was considered derogatory? HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no idea but you do make a good point. It had to be done and I am grateful. Once again, common sense prevails. As has often been metioned, there is no way we can legislate good behavior and a sense of dignity. It seems that the anonymity of the internet tends to bring out the very worst in some people. I hardly think that some of the antics we endure here would be commonplace at the homes of these people...well, maybe not at their PARENTS' homes.... In any event, I am glad Murray is here. | | guidogodoy wrote: | | I was really happy to see that, quite frankly. He just did what I have done many a time. Don't waste your time reading, just ban them all. No shame there, IMO. Hell, half the time you were talking about crackers! LOL!
Please, show some decorum next time.... | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Holy Crap!!!! Looks like Murray had a "Ban Fest" over the evening!!! Looks like NO ONE was excluded. *ouch* So much for my "squeaky clean" image. This is exactly what I get for participating in mindless nonsense. I suppose there is a lesson to be learned here. Poor behavior (from ANYONE) is simply not acceptable. I, for one, will be more cognizant of my behavior and comments. If I may.....; DECORUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | | Head banger wrote: | | JJ phantom wasnt banned, just some of his posts. wow, tons of banned posts there, brings me to 13 by my math. wonder if I can stop there. no probably not. |
