Technically, I would say Holland was the least talented drummer JP had. There was Simon, a well sought after studio drummer who was a double kicker, who played on the studio recording of Sin after Sin. Simon would not go on tour with them and they found Les Binks who also played double Bass drums. They were both very intense drummers. What Dave gave to the band, although he could not play double kick bass drums, was consistency. He stayed for 10 years and that was a feat they had not been able to achieve prior to him. Sometimes consistency makes up for some short commings. I don't think Scott looks bored behind his drums. I think he is intense and concentrating on what he is doing. He is an outstanding drummer.

It would be amazing if Priest released a new studio album this year, or next year. I understand they're still busy with their Nostradamus plans, but back in the day they'd be touring and still have a new album out every year... 
A live album would be alright, but I'm not too big on DVD's... |

I do not think that Dave Holland played drums for JP on the Sad Wings of Destiny album, or the 70's at all.
All I am saying is that it would be cool to hear. It is certanly true that Holland could pound away on the drums, but he lacks the complexity of Scott's drumming. I also believe that Scott played excellent on ALL of the live albums he has been featured in, and on ALL the songs that are featured on them.

Although Nostadamus is a masterpiece of originality,and absolute "different"........I believe that the rest of the band's career should be focused on the style of "Judas Priest" rather than doing something different. If the band only has 1 or 2 albums left I would hope they would not experiment.
True every JP album is not the same....but for the most part albums like Sad Wings Of Destiny, Hell Bent For Leather,British Steel,Point Of Entry,Screaming For Vengeance,Defenders Of The Faith,Ram It Down,Painkiller,Jugulator and Angel Of Retribution run on the same type of patterns,where as Turbo,Demolition and Nostradamus go to far outside for myself. |

| That was a bit of an unpredictable statement. It wouldn't exactly make a bad idea, so long as Scott's drumming would be technical with lots of double bass. If he'd been on Defenders Of The Faith, that album could have kicked some serious ass instead of being labelled Screaming For Vengeance II. |
