Yeah I don't think it should have been removed either, but I suppose it was up to management or whoever decided to remove it. I dunno.

The link shouldn't have been removed, IMO. It gives the impression that management no longer cares about one of JP's "founding members", like it's burying the past as soon as it can. At this rate, Richie better make himself a website quick.

For the first time ever, I just clicked on "The Ripper Years." It wasn't exactly an exciting tribute to his contribution to the band, I must say.

I have nothing but ill-will for JP "management" over the years and this only drives it home.
Sure, WE know about the Mill and still follow KK. Hell, I even asked about the greens fee on his golf course!
Founding member, the link belongs here somewhere. Punto final. I rest my point with one vid disabled by request.

Thanks, Joe. All advice is very much appreciated. Even the part about the helmet might just penetrate this hard head! LOL!
Man, I bought replacement hoods for my brakes and put them on yesterday. What a pain! Like trying to stretch a rubber thimble over your head! After hours and more than a little cursing, I got 'em. Looking good. Almost back to its original 1990s beauty! HAAA!
[joedraper] Wednesday, June 15, 2011 1:18:36 PM
Uh I seen some hectic stuff with guys who didn't like helmets... And I' ve seen them save lives lotsa times! lol
Defo go cork and go adhesive well that's what I like anyways lol.
If you can't find padded cycling shorts... OUCH But running pants will do lol. Oh and if you do find cycling shorts you use chammy cream to lube the inside padding of the shorts and er "friction prone areas" lol. Trust me.. Never leave home without the stuff! My favourite gloves are serfas or you can try giro or specialized (expensive but oh so heavenly!)
Helmet go serfas or giro they're the most comfy.
On the running front my new asics are wearing in nicely now so I'm a happy camper with feet that feel great! lol now that I've stemmed the bleeding. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Sunday, June 12, 2011 2:57:24 PM)

First, no bike shop within an hours drive from here and even that place is shakey. That is why I did the entire rebuild myself. I built many a bike so it was just a matter of ordering the right parts. I laughed because I like to restore to original...meaning "vintage" so I see. Heh. Hoods for the Dia Compe breaks had pretty much turned to goo! They should be in next week. Still deciding if I want to replace my pedals or not. Ones I have now are merely functional. No toe-clips.
Perhaps we'll talk about WHERE to "lube up" in a PM sometime. LOL! I just used a bit o' Body Glide that I have from running and have managed to crank out a few 10+ milers in the past few days.
So, lycra shorts have no padding on the inside? I have been using my running shorts. Can't seem to find an old pair of riding shorts with a bit of padding on the inside of the thighs. That helped. Especially as it is so hot here.
Tape, now, I currently have it wrapped in leather. Switch to cork? Adhesive or non. Currently, I am using non. Gloves, check. I'll have to look for all this online. Any specific brand of anything you endorse, do tell!
Tell the next, thanks for the pointers! Oh yeah, BTW, I am still running so I already have my runner's tan down perfectly. Yup, feet are as white as ghosts! LOL!!

Well, first I reckon take the bike into your closest cycle shop and make sure it's set up correctly for your height, that can solve a lot of pain related probs lol. The saddle shouldn't really be to blame... Unfortunately you'll havet o toughen up your butt or give in to stupid looking shorts lol.. The padding in cycling shorts really helps and you naturally should lube up if you're doing long rides. Or whilst you're getting used to being back in the saddle. You could try out some sort of trendier looking mountain bike/downhill riding shorts that have the padding inside but look more like board shorts or we call them 'baggies' here. They'll be a bit more pricy or be brave and go for the lycra ones like we all do lol... At least the next time you go to the beach with your cycling short/sock and shirt tan other cyclists will look at you with that knowing look of respect lol. Tape is a bugger but I swear by it. Pain having to try to wind it on properly and when it gets sticky or really tacky you should replace but it should't be too often. Gloves are as important as a helmet in my books (you're wearing a helmet right?) Not only will it stop yo u sliding around the handlebars if you go down, you will be very thankful to still have skin on your hands... that takes forever to heal up if you don't have gloves on. The amount of times I've looked at my ripped up gloves and breathed a sigh of relief.... can't count them!
It gets easier on your body the more you ride and when running season starts up again you'll see your core is stronger and you'll feel stronger!

In other words. No more world tours, just limited engagements in festivals and perhaps some lightweight touring, but no more two year long world tours.

Cork the way to go? Also, I have ridden enough to say that my ass hurts! HAAAA! New seat or stupid biker shorts? Comeon now, tell the truth, do they make biker shorts that don't look stupid? PROBABLY JUST A CHEAP SEAT.HAD A FEW OF THOSE AND REPLACED THEM WITH OLDER BETTER QUALITY SEATS AND NICLY RUSTED JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT.
I AM NOT ONE FOR NEW THINGS
From my experience, anyone over the age of 21 who has not been on a bike in a long time will suffer loads of butt bone pain! Those seats are cruel.

Howdy Do, kiddies!! How's every little thing?? Thought I would "stop by" before the Princess and I head out the door for the annual trek to the beach. A little "R&R" for an aging Rocker! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Tickets went on sale for Priest's October show here in Vegas and they STILL have not sold out. Sad. I have had conversations with other fans here and the consensus is that there is just little or no interest this time. That actually bothers me because I do so love the guys. I wish them well but I know in MY heart that this is just NOT them...not the Priest I have known. But, enough depressing comments...
I trust all of you are ready for your summer. Vegas has yet to hit the 100 degree mark and we are well into JUNE!! VERY odd. We are currently in the 90's and holding. Nonetheless, the Princess has a new bikini and we are packing up for our trip. Something about laying on the beach that takes me to another time....memories of my childhood, I suppose.
I miss you guys very much. I think of you often. I will try to "pop in" again soon to see how you are all doing. Until then, take care of yourselves. Enjoy your summer and keep that Priest cranked up!!! MUCH love to you!!

but we dont got another thing coming. we have retirement coming. or maybe an album but no more tours, at least for now...
best not take out BRS. of course with my luck they will never sell tix for calgary....
But see HB, they HAVE to play their radio tracks because those are the ONLY songs the people that win the radio ticket and meet and greet giveaways know... you know those songs will never leave the set list. By the time they come over here, they may be playing something else. They did say they had a couple different setlists and would change things up. With my luck they'll take out Blood Red Skies and put in I'm a Rocker. NOOOOOOOOOOO!

General Admin in CHI! WOOHOO!
Do PM any presale passwords if found. Inquiring minds want to know!
No, I didn't take it that wayat all. No worries. Just saying that I too have met many bands by the buses - IF you can get to them that is. Most places around here, they park them behind gates. Chicago just went up on TicketMaster early tonight and it looks like we may be in luck!! It appears to be General Admission!! Check it out on TicketMaster. After all the charges, I think they are $77 for GA. Presale starts on 6/8. I saw one website charging $384 for GA tickets! WTF?! And several of these broker sites think it is seating.... I hope they all lose their asses on those tickets!! Serves them right! If you checked Ticketmaster for the Detroit show, those weren't that bad of prices, certainly NOT what the brokers are charging. Hope to see you in Chicago or Detroit! But by the looks of it, more dates are coming since TicketMaster just put up Toronto for Nov. 22.

I hope you didn't take that post as directed at you. I was responding to a comment made about me.

Those are Ticket Broker "resale" prices. Funny how they can "resell" tickets that haven't even gone on sale yet, isn't it? Ticketmaster doesn't even have the Dallas show on sale yet - I think it goes on sale June 11th? Ticketbastard has already sold blocks of the good seats to the Ticket Brokers before they even go on sale! Bullshit isn't it???
WOW....175.00 to 271.00 per ticket in Dallas!! Hope Priest comes around Western NY!!

[.] Monday, June 06, 2011 3:10:56 AM
But honey, calm down. They're only tickets to a show not hospital beds.
Who is forcing you to buy tickets at 5x the actual price? Is anybody twisting your arm? Aren't there more than scalpers websites where you can purchase your tickets? Then be patient and take your time shopping around.
As you said, the tix are not even on sale!
And now you know: JP is not in their right fucking minds. But were they ever?
I'm going to write another country song:
The Day KK Left The Band, is the title of this titty.
Yes, I AM saying that other bands managements are involved in the reservation of blocks of seats!! Ozzy blocks off the ENTIRE FIRST 10 ROWS for the package deals. You have to go to Will Call and show ID to get your ticket the day of the show. Therefore completely eliminating scalpers from buying those tickets. Journey and Def Leppard are doing the same thing. Iron Maiden has always done it. The Scorpions just did it last year. Let me make this clear to you - THE TICKETS ARE NOT EVEN ON SALE TO THE PUBLIC YET AND THE TICKET RESALE SITES ALREADY HAVE THE FRONT ROW TICKETS ON SALE FOR UP TO 5X THE ACTUAL TICKET PRICE. Do you get it yet?????? Ticketbastard has contracts with the ticket brokers and unless MANAGEMENT of the band blocks off seats - which as I just explained to you has been done by MANY BANDS so IT CAN AND IS DONE, Ticketbastard will do this to increase their profits.
Who knows, maybe JP and management get a cut of the $$$ from the ticket brokers. Jayne and Bill need to pad their retirement after all since NO OTHER BAND IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MINDS would ever hire them!!

Judas Priest is doing what they've always done.
If you by now don't know it, then stick to the bands you are comparing Priest with, go see their shows instead, as they do things the way YOU WANT them to, and leave Judas Priest to the real fans who don't care about being close to them enough to chew their eyeballs out. You see, by now everybody knows how each of them looks like. Ticket sales will be what ticket sales will be. Navigate the morass the best way you know how and good luck. By "you" I mean Plural.
If you are there for the music and the show, then being closest to the stage isn't your best spot. Each venue will have their policy and many go to the same place to see other shows and know their way around their local theaters. Budred, for example, has met tons of bands and not always he's been able to get the seats he wanted. It looks like he has enjoyed himself, though.
Instead of doing the high school ganging up on/ goading for heated replies - and you should be lucky I'm throwing you some pearls - why don't you be more like the other thousands of fans worldwide who will be happy to attend their shows no matter where they'll be in the audience? Your American style of crap slinging is old.
I don't care about Ozzy Osbourne Meet and Greet packages.
The legendary Prince of Darkness is back in support of his new album, Scream. Get access to the best seats and more with an Ozzy Osbourne package!
Meet & Greet Package includes:
One premium ticket located within the first 3 rows of the stage
Exclusive Meet & Greet with Ozzy
Personal Photograph with Ozzy
VIP access to the exclusive pre-concert party hosted by MC Big Dave
And more!
Possessed Party Package includes:
One premium ticket located within the first 10 rows of the stage
VIP access to the exclusive pre-concert party hosted by MC Big Dave
Exclusive Ozzy Osbourne Concert Shirt
And more!
Don't forget to add the EXCLUSIVE Ozzy Osbourne T-Shirt for only $28 during checkout!
SEE FOR YOURSELF [ . ]. Ozzy did this at Joe Louis Arena for the Black Rain tour too. So, it ISN'T THE VENUE or the other bands supporting him as you claim!!!!!!!!! IT IS IN FACT MANAGEMENT or should I say in JP's case, lack there of.

That is why bands like Def Leppard, Scorpions, Journey, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Queensryche just to name a few, have in their contracts with these very same venues that JP is going to, that the first 10 rows or so are blocked off for packages. THAT is how a band keeps those seats for its fans!!! It just looks to me like JP and their management just don't care, as long as the seats get sold. Well, they are going to have the same situation that I saw in Cincinnati: people in the front row standing 5 feet back from the barrier looking bored. We won auction seats for the front row and were in the middle. Glenn finally was so frustrated that he noticed us and started playing in the middle!! I don't think I'll be going to multiple shows if the good seats are $150.00. WTF? I love Priest more than any other
band but not enough to pay that much. And if what I'm reading here about the first 12 to 14 rows being gone already

Wow, that would have been a great experience, something like Queensryche did. That is showing true appriciation to their fans. I don't see anything like that happening this tour and you would think, if this is the last tour, they would have done something like that. Sadly, no.
I am just so upset about this. There are so many things that management could have planned for this farewell tour! It should be a celebration of the band and a thank you to the fans that have supported them. They could have done fanclub raffles like Queensryche does and you win either sound check passes or after show party passes. And when I say aftershow party, I mean the entire band is there milling around for 30-60 minutes talking to everyone (Mark did it) taking pictures and signing autographs and they are actually HAPPY to meet you. THAT is how you show your hardcore fans that you appreciate them!! Queensryche also just posted an auction to be Ryche Royalty and go on tour with them. Can you imagine? Priest could do all sorts of things, but this is just business as usual for them, which I find VERY SAD! I envisioned them blocking off the front row for hardcore fans, that during the pre-show party would get to go to sound check. We would get to go up on stage and sing the chorus of something like United or Take on the World during the show. Talk about AWESOME!! So many things that could be done to set JP apart from every other band and for the band to show their appreciation to the fans that have been with them all the way.
Jayne: Call Sharon Osbourne and ask her how to set up a great fan experience!! SHE knows how to make both the fans and the band happy!!

Who knows, maybe JP and management get a cut of the $$$ from the ticket brokers. Jayne and Bill need to pad their retirement after all since NO OTHER BAND IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MINDS would ever hire them!!
HRMG, you hit the nail dead on the head in reguards to management.
The whole ticket buying schemes is just messed up. I liked when they used Live Nation. Seemed a lot fairer.
