It seems as if the foot may be loosening up just a bit. What a difference a day makes.
              I got friended, no derogatory comments,and I didn't do anything stupid .

Oh, now you have done it.... pissed off an old Detroiter who knows that it isn't DTE, rather PINE FREAKIN' KNOB!!!!!!!!!
Anticipatory salvo to Freeze: screw you!! They rename the roads around it / ski mountain, PERHAPS I'll change my terminology.

I wish I would have seen them in 79'. In my opinion that was near their peak,or at worst their blow up period.
I had tickets for the 80' British Steel tour with Scorpions and Def Leppard. They canceled due lack of ticket sales.
They were only $4.50. It still makes me sick. Thank (good)ness for last year's British Steel tour. That's cool you
saw them in Detroit. I saw them there in 2005 at the DTE Energy Center. They were badass up there.
Thanks for the visit, stop back, it's free. (All the aggravation you could want at no charge)

Hmmmm.... well Budred, you just appologize (which you already have) and move on. Rememer the lyrics to "Heading Out to the Highway" - If you get it wrong, at least you can know there's miles and miles to put it back together! So take all the advice that has been given to you from some GREAT members of this board. We'll all forgive and forget once you start showing us the true Priest fan that you are.

That was a fantastic show Freeze! I finally landed a drumstick, WOO HOO! I agree with you, meeting up truly made that show special - but next time, we all need to sit together too! Or do you think we'll all bumb heads? HAAAAHAHAHAHAHA

Good Morning, indeed. A fine day. Still a little chilly here in Vegas but no more rain...for now.

Saw the post for the "favorite" Priest gig. I remember my first one in 1979 in California. I was just stunned. What a GREAT show. Strangely enough, I have only seen them six times. I sort of "strayed" from them in the nineties. I missed out on a lot of great stuff in the late 80's as well but that is the way it goes.

If I had to pick my favorite Judas Priest show of all time, it would have to be Detroit LAST YEAR! The show was great and the Priest were awesome but to spend that time with some of the members of THIS site made that show my most memorable. I will remember it the rest of my life! What a wonderful trip that was! A microcosm of what this Board is all about!!!!!

wELL TODAY IS A NEW DAY

Well, today is a new day and I only have two goals.
               1. Don't spend so much time on here today.(O.K. , O.K.)(Stop the applause)
                2. Do not drive anyone crazy on here today. (enough with the applause already)

JUST HOPING TO EVENTUALLY FIT IN!

My favorite was probably the first if only because it was the first. 1981 Point of Entry tour at a theatre
in Pittsburgh. Iron Maiden and Whitesnake opened up. The acoustics were great and all the bands were
dead on. You may find this part amusing. I hadn't heard of Maiden yet, they still had the original singer.
Anyway, I was confusing them with Iron Butterfly. I thought I was going to hear Inna-Gadda-Davidda
(or however you spell that.) I left thinking Wow, Iron Butterfly was great but I didn''t my song.(WTF)(LOL).
Thanks for visiting. Peace!   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Wednesday, January 27, 2010 11:01:30 PM)

Hey Budred, welcome to the board. Which was your favorite show of the 16 that you saw? I've only seen them 10 times. I would have to say that the Painkiller show at the Palace in Detroit was my all time favorite. I walked out of there in complete awe of them (although I do after every show, this one had something more). Rob's voice was absolutely incredible and even though it's a HUGE arena, I still felt his screams pierce right through me. AWESOME!!!!!

Man, tone it down a bit. I was actually going to say that a 16 is most respectable track record for Priest and ask if you had a scanner or at least a camera to post some pics or stubs or something. Really don't know what to make of that last post of yours in the intro thread, though.

Still, I am interested in your Priest knowledge / goods.

Wow I missed all that. I'm too new to this to understand all of that(or you guys are too smart) (more likely
               the case, I've proven that)(LOL).
I'm so expecting criticism I'm afraid to say anything as I may receive more. The person who suggested I
may not want to join in I actually do. I just turned myself into an outcast by acting before thinking, sort of
like the foot in mouth thing(LOL). So now I need to change that. I'm hoping this topic just becomes a place to
come and express anything that pops into your head(within reason). I've been a Priest fan for 30 years
and have seen them 16 times in concert. I'm sure I can find things to discuss with you guys(ladies). Ask
me anything you want. Unless I'm overwhelmed I'll try to respond. Peace!
