Unfortunately I cannot say, Lady B. I am not that technically savvy. I can almost guarantee that Murray will NOT "monitor" it. He has FAR better things to do and does NOT want to babysit this place. Nor should he. It is up to us to act like civilized human beings and, more importantly, just ignore the boors that return like a bad rash. If we were able to "block" these morons from a Thread, I truly believe peace would reign here. The only ones arguing would be the aforementioned morons and they would do so with themselves. I am certain they are ALL used to THAT. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by LadyBathory9 from Sunday, April 19, 2009 10:34:55 AM) | | LadyBathory9 wrote: | | Yes, i agree with you 100%.. BUt will it work?? the person who created the thread or Murray will they monitored us? or maybe only invited the friends or ppl we want to chat with? What do you think about this? | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Good Morning, all!!! Thanks for all the comments regarding my idea!! I chose to use MG's response since there is a relevant argument regarding it.
You see, we have tried that. You will notice there are two "Pissing you Off" Threads. There are countless Threads asking specific questions that inevitably end up with one or more loser posting his garbage. It is simply not the answer because there is always the idiot that will continue to do as he damn well pleases and claim it is "free speech" or some other moronic justification. We cannot censor speech here, nor should we. That is not the answer I seek. We should always have an open forum. I have asked, from day one, that we all conduct ourselves with some kind of dignity but I am one person. I do not have nearly the influence some believe I do.
If we were able to have ONE Thread that was restricted by its creator or even Murray, we could simply allow those that have earned the right to post there. Further, we would be able to chat there with NO troublemakers! They could not get in there and we would be free of the disgusting banter we find in EVERY other Thread. The regulars could simply go to this Thread and talk about whatever they wish while those that do not want to be involved would have full access to the rest of the Board as always. We could even set up a system by which a regular would "sponsor" any newbee that wishes to gain access to this particular Thread. In this way, we could add new people to the chat and be sure they are not just more of the same idiots looking to post inappropriate trash. Allowing members in based solely on Respect Points or tenure would NOT work, as cretins like our pal Roger have clearly demonstrated.
I wish I were a "tech-nerd" of some sort so that I could actually present this idea with some intelligence to Murray , but I am not. Perhaps if enough of us get behind the idea, he will take notice? That is, if we all agree it is an effective solution.

Perhaps require the creator to "approve" who posts in it? That way, we could simply open a Thread and allow the regulars a place to chat without moronic, random profanity and losers that cannot control their adolescent behavior. He managed to do the "Respect Points" thing and that , unfortunately, has not been entirely effective. Short of mods (which is NOT going to happen) this would at least give us sanctuary from the lower forms of life. Too much to ask?

Why should you get banned?? Like you said after months of being pick on, i think one of us would have done the same thing...no one have the right to do that to a person, being harrassed like you did...no one... so , i hope u'll be back here... i've really enjoyed chattin with U SPA... wholeheartedly agree. I have grown sick of mind and sick of patience with what goes on here. I love my friends, but I look at what I have become and I am not pleased. I've just, after months of assualt, reached my breaking point, and if Mr. Francis Chooses to ban me then it's done.
Like I Have always said.
When I'm wrong, I'm wrong, and dont have a problem admitting to it. This Newbie, some what abnormal, I would have never given a second glance to, but due to months of shit, I went off.
EJC, I offer you an appology, Even though I think you can catch more flys with honey than vinegar.
I am wrong Board, I leave my fate in Mr. Francis's hands. If I'm banned, let me tell each and everyone of my friends how much I love them.
Good night all,

I am referring to ALL of it, strat. "Language filtering"...? Do you really believe that is what I meant? Good Lord, I was really hoping I would not have to go on in detail! This is not about "free speech", my friend. This is about the right to have a place where we can gather and share without stupidity. That includes all of this bickering nonsense! NOT just foul language or sexual discussion (which, by the way, does NOT have a place here) Of course , THAT is my opinion as well. You will notice I do NOT post in the "Thong" Threads.

If you are refering to the Priest tickets sale thread, I already posted what I think about it there. No thank you - if there is anything we dont need is more language filtering.

Ah! Good Afternoon, folks! So nice and quiet in here. No idiotic babble and foul, distasteful rhetoric! You know, I have been thinking about this and I wonder if there is a way that Murray can set it up so that a Thread can be created and the person that does so can "ban" certain people from posting in it? Perhaps require the creator to "approve" who posts in it? That way, we could simply open a Thread and allow the regulars a place to chat without moronic, random profanity and losers that cannot control their adolescent behavior. Those new members that come here and act in a civilized manner could "request" entry into the Thread and those regulars that do not care for the topic or participants could simply continue to post in the other Threads.....
He managed to do the "Respect Points" thing and that , unfortunately, has not been entirely effective. Short of mods (which is NOT going to happen) this would at least give us sanctuary from the lower forms of life. Too much to ask?

Now I know how MG and Susan feel after Darryn created two accounts in my name, useing my real name and my profile pic therefor. Yesterday I have read the little battle between EJC_74 and Susan and I have thought "Scooter" is back with another account or it's Darryn again. So I have interact against EJC_74 (Eric), but it's Eric's fault too 'Cause he starts a lot of insults like against my mother.
I don't think that Murray banned Susan 'Cause he knows the whole story and he knows that we are all human beeings and that everyone of us are making mistakes - me too!!

Turn yourself in to the webmaster? What?!? No way!! You didn't do anything wrong that would require you to report yourself to Murray!!! All you did was fly off the handle (although I will admit that what you did was uncalled for). Like paor and others said, we're only human, so it's natural for us to get so involved in such matters. In addition, you also went through so much crap with you-know-who, so there's a reason or three behind what you did. I just hope you don't get banned, because you're a good person!
