Oh i know,I'm just saying that we will not be getting the new album in 2011,no way. If we did,I'd be utterly shocked, but I think deep down inside we all know it just isn't going to happen next year, however sometime in 2011 I think we will be getting news about them working on a new LP. 2012 will be the return of the Priest guy's new album, but they will be touring "something" in 2011....probably the fucking "Nostradamus" album. YUK.Count me out. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Bazookajoe_666 from Friday, October 01, 2010 1:36:55 PM)

Look at that song The Mower Rob created for the new Halford album. That is the most brutal song Rob's ever sang on, and features some of his most intense vocals, which were recorded IN 2010.
And AOR and Nostradamus? They've both got some roaring fast and screaming tracks on there.
Priest will always be able to deliver the goods, the band themselves said the next album they do could be a return to the classic Priest sound after touring with British Steel so much.

The Crucible album I do like, there are a couple of tracks on that LP that I don't like, but I sure can find 8 songs I do like.
I do not like any of the Halford 3 christmas album (yuK) not even "Get Into The Spirit"....too "blah" for my tastes. I haven't really heard all of the new album yet,but so far I do not like the song "Made Of Metal" . I guess I just don't like the band "Halford" that much. I do feel 100% we will NOT be getting a new Judas Priest album in 2011. Yes they will tour like the band says, but they will find something to tour like the 30th aniversary of Screaming For Vengeance that Rob talked about,he didn't say it was etched in stone but he was talking about it. If they do that, they wouldn't even have to make an album.
I really don't think K.K. & Glenn are into making another album right now. This is why Halford is doing what he is doing. I don't blame the members for not wanting to record an album, but as a fan it is getting "old". I think in early to mid 2012 they will be ready for something, but by then all 4 members will be in thier 60's,can they crank out a Painkiller style album then? Glenn will be 64 years old in 2012?

You want another "Nostradamus" type of an album metallo? And hellrider wants "death metal" from our "Judas Priest"?? LOL! Now hellrider, you are definately smoking my weed!!!! lol! No no no no fuckin NOOOOO!!!! Judas Priest would look and sound utterly "ridiculous" if they were to dabble into "death metal"...it would be "fake" and "not them" to say the least hellrider, this is pushing it "too far".
Even on the Jugulator "song" I've said it before,it sounds cheesey when Ripper sings "Mutilate"...ect...it just sounds un-Priest-like. If you crave the heaviest Judas Priest album of all time, why not just wish for all 10 songs on the album to be in it's own style of course, but have all 10 tracks as fast and as heavy as the songs "Painkiller,All Guns Blazing and Metal Meltdown"?? All 10 songs, one right after another.
Lets skip the death metal influences, that would totally "suck" hellrider,I do understand what you are looking for,but come on...lets hope they put out heavy british metal like the Painkiller album,if they went into death metal,or even 1 touch of death metal on the album it would riun it.At age 60,the band doesn't need to experiment with "death metal" or any other kind of metal for that matter, lets just hope the new album will be heavy all the way through.

No I don't think it would be a bust if they did something like SFV or hellrider type songs. That would be light years ahead of Nostradamus. I just said Painkiller or bust because If I could choose the style of the new cd it would be like Painkiller. Not a complete copy but something with that type of energy and quality. I don't see that AOR has that much swagger. Just my opinion though. If they come out with something equal to or better than Painkiller then it wouln't bother me if Rob Halford wore a coat and tie on stage.

Hey Brian,no arguing or harsh words....just courious....what if the next album "isn't like the Painkiller swagger" but more towards the Angel Of Retribution and Screaming For Vengeance swagger but with top notch excellent classic british heavy metal songs like the Hellrider track? Just wondering,I'm not sure your opinions of the band doing styles of older albums,or is it really just Painkiller or bust for you?

I agree that they would be good examples.Between The Hammer And The Anvil is one of my favorite Priest racks, but Demonizer and Wheels Of Fire mop up the floor with "Leather Rebel" although I do like Leather Rebel. I think that "Wheels Of Fire" is underrated and is an excellent Judas Priest song, but if you don't think so then thats cool with me. "Leather Rebel" and "Between the Hammer and the Anvil" are high quality metal tracks and that style would be fine on the next cd.
Better than Wheels of Fire and Demonizer. Edited at: Wednesday, September 22, 2010 12:21:21 PM

when i say full on its a bit of exageration meaning no slow boring powerless, lacking power songs.cant expect each track to have the exact same amount of INTENNSSS. POOOOOOOWWWWEEEEERRR. like Priest albums useually are with the exemption on 1 song. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Tuesday, September 21, 2010 8:17:17 PM)

I don't know hellrider, you tell me. LOL! I figured if they even wrote a track like "Leather Rebel" or "Betweeen The Hammer & The Anvil" you'd be disappointed because those tracks are NOT barn burnning scorchers. To me,they can write material with it's own personality but in the vien of the song Painkiller to tracks like "Wheels Of Fire" and "Demonizer" ,as long as the album is excellent.

how would writing a track like BETWEEN THE HAMMER AND THE ANVIL OR LEATHER REBEL be a disapointment.they are not slow boring songs .THEY ARE POWERFULL THEY ARE JUST NOT QUITE AS INTENSE. AND THEY DO NOT TAKE THE ALBUM FROM 1 EXTREME TO THE OTHER (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Tuesday, September 21, 2010 1:23:54 PM)

Yes that would be awsome, theres no doubt about it. But I think by those who are only going to accept an entire album with scorcher tracks they are setting themselves up for a huge disappointment especially if the band writes a track like "Leather Rebel" or "Between The Hammer And The Anvil"....not a copy of those songs, but in the vien/pattern of these tracks....and if those tracks are top notch quality Judas Priest songs, they will get thrown in the garbage by those who want an album's worth of scorchers, something that Judas Priest has NEVER done in thier almost 40 year career.
Thats a bit much to ask these 60 year old men to do,not saying it would be a hell of an album, but Judas Priest are simply not going to touch ground with "death metal" and who knows the odds of an album coming out with all 10 songs on it like the Painkiller/All Guns Blazing/Metal Meltdown tracks? I guess this band can't please everyone. I just know that I'll be pleased with a classic british heavy metal album with quality tracks. Those who don't like it,don't buy it.

I have to agree with Diamond here. 10 songs in a row all out heavy metal Judas Priest style with that Painkiller edge.
