Man, I wish I had a copy of the vid. You should have seen me hit! I have never seen my elbow blacker (don't know WHAT I hit) and the back of my leg is all scraped off (probably from the treadmill). Absolutely NO history of it in my family. Got me on anti-seizure drugs now. They did run a whole battery of tests from EEGs to CatScans etc. No brain tumor. That is a good thing. Their best guess now is that it was a provoked seizure due to lack of sleep. The gym is 24hours and has cameras all over the place. I saw my vid yesterday. Man, did I hit HARD! Kinda blurry and hard to see but about a mile into a run you see me go down with EMS running in almost immediately afterwards as they are housed right across the street. I barely remember the event and certainly don't remember a thing about the second that happened in the hospital. Really odd. Just a fuzzy "coming to" where it dawns on me that I am in the Intensive Care Unit.
I have a follow-up in a couple of weeks. Right now, every muscle in my body hurts. They gave me some stat where normal muscle protein hovers around 100 and mine hit 1300+. Yikes. Guid! I Better not hear those garbage cans rattling at midnight! Better hear them much earlier and look across the way and see all lights out at a decent hour!
Ya know, a riding lawnmower still constitutes driving. Hope you have one where the engine kills if you remove your weight from the seat. Be careful! Big sharp blades! Get some rest, see a sleep specialist etc... Take care of yourself. And those orders were beamed straight down from Bones himself! Holy crap Guido!!!!!!!! How scary, I really hope you are ok! Handy having an emergency room so close to the gym. Take care of yourself, like Joe said, have a rest, let yourself recuperate. You probably already know, but a seizure is a very stressful thing for your body to go through, whether you're a fit person or not. Sending hugs your way and hoping you feel better soon, and importantly, that the docs find a cause!
ARGH Joe I've had stomach cramps like that before! I woke in the middle of the night and feck me I was in pain! You need to take it easy too I reckon.
Well not much happening in my part of the world, it's cold though LOL! Heading out to a book sale after work, yay! Also may be looking at a new laptop for me cos my one is packing a major sad.
Yikes. No wonder I hurt all over. | | ~ MG_Metalgoddess~ wrote: | | OMG,, thats horrible... I hope you will be okay????? I dont mean to pry, and you can tell me its non of my buisness?

Holy crap Guido!
You must have been terrified!
Were you feeling ill or tired leading up to the seizure? Thank God that their was an emergency room so close by. This is a no-brainer but I'm going to say it anyway, please, please rest and take it easy until your check up. That means no working out and no running! (I know this is hard to stop doing something that you love but it may just be wise until you find out exactly what caused the seizure.)
Also fantastic news that it's not a tumor.
You'll be in my prayers. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Thursday, May 21, 2009 1:13:39 PM) | | guidogodoy wrote: | | That makes two of us hoping I'll be ok! LOL!!!

Thanks Ron.. I"m feeling sorta human enough now.. mildish cramping throughout the day though. I still managed to get some work done.. Feck got a drumming lesson in an hour and for once I'm not looking forward to it. I'll just have some tea ( I know, not very metal lol) and then head out for the lesson.. or maybe I do really just need to nuke my stomach with a strong as hell coffee!! Phew! I'm recovering from the most intense stomach cramps this morning. I woke up late (very, very unusual for me) managed to get the kids to school and got home.. Started cramping up and lay on the bed in feotal position. Kinda felt like a combo of giving birth or death.. I was sort of praying for death after a while lol. Craig sauntered into the bedroom after a relaxing shower and says 'you don't look too good' I felt so shite I couldn't even respond.
I honestly haven't felt that much pain in years.. it really felt like labour pains! Craig was concerned only after he'd noticed that I was pale, covered in sweat and hadn't moved for an hour.. Men.. if I had died I think he'd only have noticed when decomposition set in or if the kids weren't home from school yet lol.
Anyways, mysteriously cramps have eased off, still feeling a tad shakey and like I've survived some sort of inner struggle with my body but thankfully I'm able to sort of attempt some of the tasks I've got scheduled for today.
Very, very mysterious this whole thing. |

I personnally think, except for a few occassions and a few jerks and a few missunderstandings, that when that is not going on, the members of this board conduct themselves rather well.
Mr. Francis is a very good Webmaster, and If you have a problem and go to him and explain it, if he can correct the problem, he is more than willing to do so. The sacrifices we make for Priest lol.. I think this is better. I have to stare at a computer screen for way too many hours so it gets dificult to differentiate with the colours. It all becomes a blur after a while. That's probably why I still hand write most of my shorter articles and then type them out on pc later on. Otherwise I'm sure I'd be blind by now too.. and then how would I cope with Tuesdays??? If I remember right, there were a few issues when they brought up the Nostradamus look, but they were sorted out soon enough. No doubt these will be too.
In any case, I really like the new look. |

Hello Defenders
Well, I just wanted to stop in before I hit the hay...it's 11pm here already and I have a full, full day tomorrow. They're all full but I'm battling to adjust to no 4:30am cycles for two weeks in a row! I went up the mountain on foot on sunday and managed to do something wierd to my hip. I felt fine on the way up but hurt like hell when I tried walking the last few days so I've had to take it slow. Other than that, Africa has had it's first winter snowfall That's right folks! Snow in Africa lol.

You know, I like it! It looks cool. Takes a bit of getting used to just like it did when the Nostradamus art went up but I like it. I am starting to get excited about seeing the Band in Detroit this summer!!!! Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry I have been a bit scarce today. I had to fast all morning and now I am getting ready to head out for tests. Damn doctors!! Always poking and taking from me!!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever seen the film "Touching the Void?" Very nice film based on the first (and only) summit of the Siula Mountain in S.A. One of the two shatters his leg on the way down, is given up for dead and gets some goofy song stuck in his head for hours when he thinks he is a goner.
I was thinking to myself, yup...that would be me. Dying on a friggin' glacier to ABBA's "Fernando" or something. In the words of the immortal Triumph the Insult Dog: "I'm keeding! I am a keeder!"
The skit that REALLY got me laughing was the Lawrence Welk one. When that last woman comes spinning out with those tiny hands and protruding brow. HO HO! Too much, I tells ya!

Very catchy tune and a much fuller sound from them now that they have added a "lead" guitarist and more backing vocals. That Billy guy has a nice voice and it is a GOOD song. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who said that Green Day suck? One of my favourite bands! If I remember right, American Idiot was the first (or one of the first, anyway) albums that I bought. Still love it! And "Do you know your enemy" is a GREAT tune.
You might want to check out some of their early stuff too. Great music. Not a lot of "musicianship", but it has nice, simple riffs, cool melodies... Im sure you heard Basket Case, and When I come around. Actually, I watched it too. Can't say that I paid particular attention to Green Day save for the Billy Joel spoof, though.
Mornin' all, btw. | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Well now, I am back from the store. Threw some clothes into the washer and thought I would sit down and watch Saturday Night Live (I taped it from last night). Now then, I may catch ALL kinds of hell from some of you BUT...I just watched Green Day perform "Do You KNow Your Enemy' and I have to say, I actually liked it! Very catchy tune and a much fuller sound from them now that they have added a "lead" guitarist and more backing vocals. That Billy guy has a nice voice and it is a GOOD song. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know, I know...Green Day sucks...blah, blah, blah. I really liked it. Sorry.

I do hope you all have a GREAT day. I have to run an errand (groceries) in a bit...but I figured I should at least wait until the sun comes up.!! HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! |
