I come across that way alot myself, but if something hits my buttons, I will cry like a baby! When the doctor told me about Bella as soon as I hung up the phone I was in hysterics and had to leave work immediately to go to her. I will tear up for years to come over her. When ever something just hits me out of the blue.

You're a good soul. Sentimental is a good thing. It's part of being human.
I'm not sure when exactly I learned to adapt, desensitize. Think I had a coming to terms with mortality after seeing carnage in OKC. I am very sentimental. Grief is very personal to me and I express it in my own way, far away from others. Publicly, I come off cold and uncaring.

My step-son lived for feeding days! bring home tiny mice and watch the whole event. Later, was at a friends house. Harley was 6. There was a little chick in their enclosure. Needless to say, the python went hungry until they could get another chick ... lol And we kept the chick for a couple of days 'til I convinced Harley it was part of the "circle of life"  and it was best that we feed the snake

I could have kept "Monty" when I finally found him, but I didn't really see me doing the feeding live animals thing to it, so straight back to the pet store he went.
He was absolutely charming, I just could not deal with the feeding aspect.

Pythons and Boas fascinate me. Was doing a model job, had to carry around a boa; on a trip to Virginia got to hold an albino python. I think it was 8' ... beautiful!

| You know I once took a baby Royal Phython to school in my jacket pocket to pick Flora up and while I was there I asked the teacher if I could show him to the children, she looked like she was going to scream when I pulled that Phython out! She did let me show it to the children and let them pet it though. I remember it played when I was a kid too. Think Mom played it. She told me one time the PTA got asked to move their bakesale 'cause they didn't get permission ... rowdy, rabble-rousers

I will have to go check that out! My daughter can say that her mother still wears, Chucks, really high heels on ocassions, and also Combat Boots! and I still have my old Metal Stud belt and Motorcycle chain belt that I still like to wear as well. LOL

I'm OK. But I just posted my metal uniform in the "old school thread" and now I'm thinkin' it was what I wore to the last parent group banquet ... LOL I'm talkin' Harper Valley PTA!!!
