That's me with cats, I am afraid. At that Octoberfest party last weekend, the guy had a cat and I pretty much left with asthma! Shame, too, as I love all animals. Even Nina, my rat terrier, sets me off. Calvin, no problem. Wish I knew I could stand birds as a kid. Poor petless me. Only goldfish. Still, I cried when the best goldfish in the world, Jaws, died! Sniff....

German Shepherds are such beautiful animals.  They were my favorite breed when I was a kid.  The only problem I have with them is the many health issues that may come along with them.  If you can get a healthy one, boy are you lucky.

Love our animal friends, got two Shepherds, one's 8 and the other 2 years old.  I've owned a few mutts and have to say that the Shepherd breed is the most loyal.

I browse this thread once in a while, I love animals (Guido, sorry about your Canary).  My dog Timber who is 11 was having some issues today  my daughter told me he had an "accident" in the house (both) AND puked.  Poor baby.  He seems ok now but I am going to watch him and maybe feed him some rice and hamburger tonight.  He has never done this before so I am hoping it was just a fluke.

thank you everyone for your sympathy. and thanks for the advice joedraper. the only pic i have of him is on the computer. i guess i could try to print it out. it is the same one i posted in this topic about a year or so ago. its on page 25 or something. i think the mama cat has about 2-3 weeks to go before she has the kittens. we have decided to keep an orange one if she has one, because if i keep one that looks just like his father, i would be expecting his father all over again, because i had him since kittenhood too. so im getting one that dosent look like him at all and i will take your advice and just accept him as a pet since there will not be another frito.

new puppy arrives on sunday.

Hi SS, have you got a photo of Frito? If you do then you should make up a flyer/poster with his photo on and post it all around your neighbourhood. You never know if someone thought he was lost they could've taken him to a shelter or maybe even kept him with them at their house. I hope that you do find him. I always thought running away was far worse than a death because if your pet dies, you at least have some closure. Try to accept the new kitty as just that, a new kitty with his daddy's legacy but no expectations other than being a good companion for you. Enjoy the new pup when it arrives, my new one has caused havoc and I'm loving every minute of it! lol... He's doing well at puppy school and has mastered sitting down for a treat... still not perfect on potty training though but we're getting there. I seriously suggest puppy school. It's made life easier for me and I'm understanding my puppy really well. At the end of the course they do a show/ ceremony and get a 'graduation' certificate at the ceremony.. Can't wait to show off my little doggy lol.
