Feeling a bit ripped off at the moment as I purchased VIP ticket for MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA concert which included meet and greet . Excitement turned into rage as package was cancelled and then finding out that TICKETEK has competition where if you purchase ticket from them you enter a draw to win a meet and greet the band. Some last minute half hearted fan no date will win and me I'll miss out cause i cant enter Rob you should be looking after the real international fans like myself who will not get to see you metal gods ever again NOT the corporate money hungry, Know absolutely nothing and no doubt dont give a flying F**** about you or metal. I forked out a weeks wage for a chance yet all I got was a signed photo (thanks Heaps) of the band which puts me in a catch 22 frame of mind. |

GUIDO THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA --I DON'T HAVE MUCH KNOWLEDGE ABOUT PIXELS AND RESOLUTIONS BUT I FEEL THAT AFTER PAYING THAT MUCH MONEY WE SHOULD'VE BEEN SENT A LOT BETTER PIC THAN WHAT WE WERE. VIP pictures...why they took pictures with such a nice camera and only posted the really low resolution versions is maddening. My own point and shoot camera would have been hundreds of times better than the 85k or so jpg they posted. I printed a 4 x 6 and 8 x 10. The larger one, of course, is pixilated as all get-out and even the 4 x 6 shows some defects when printed (yeah, I am a perfectionist). 4x6 isn't even the native resolution, though. However with no photo printer, I am stuck with Wal-lyworld.
Instead of playing with the many software options to come up with a better 8x10, I plan to scan that 4x6 at max resolution and make an 8x10 of THAT scan. Anyone else have thoughts on the subject? |

Thanks "Where Am I"? (love your 'bio-notes', btw ... if only we could all do that, eh?)
Looks like there are "NO" VIP Meet & Greets left ... Hmmm, what to do?
Hubbie says to ask anyone on the site if they are willing to sell theirs for $$ big bucks $$. I laughed my head off, just b/c I know no-one would give them up -- well, I wouldn't anyway! (He really wants to go see those damn bunnies, I think...)
So ... still waiting to book the flight & hotel, etc. (There's still some tix if we decide to go.)
Here's the deal, are there a bunch of people going to the Vegas show who want to meet before and after for a rockin' JP party somewhere, anywhere, and all over the place?
I believe the fans are a huge part of Priest, having the best fans in the world -- and we would love to party with a bunch of you. That would make it all worth it. Let me know "what's up" ...

Sure:
C.J. Graham is a casino manager at The Palms in Las Vegas, according to his website.
If you want to hunt for his autograph.
C.J. Graham was Jason Voorhees in Jason VI. Horror movie buffs going to see Judas Priest, here's your chance.

Whiskey, They wouldn't let my buddy go back to the car...I was lucky enough to go to an instore signing and get my Screamin' LP signed, so I figured when I go to the show, I would bring something small enough to fit in one of my pockets...this way I could get trashed, rock out, and not have to worry about my signed item. And that I did! |

Ok, here's the skinny on the meet and greet...I did it in NJ.. had to pay for my own vip parking..Nice shirt and lanyard w/ ID..GOOD vip party(2 1/2 hours open bar with dogs+burgers+snacks)..Trivia during party(prizes were Nostradamos posters)...After party went to watch testament and motorhead.. after motorhead meet by side stage and go back to meet and greet.. Can't go back to car so bring something small to get signed unless you don't mind holding it for the whole show..I got a british steel cd cover signed and it fit in my pocket..MEETING PRIEST IS AWESOME..After that i went and watched Sabbath and Priest fifth row center..my life is now complete... BE CAREFUL WITH THE 2+ HOURS OF OPEN BAR..I WAS TRASHED AND IT WAS GREAT.. |

COOL! Thanks. I have VIP in Dallas and have been trying to find out some of the specifics. Let's hope they let us do the same here in the US. Like you, I wouldn't mind missing Testament either to protect the goods. Seen 'em already anyway.
Now for the big question...did they serve BEER at the VIP? At least let you buy some? Met Judas Priest last night in Saskatoon!!!!!!!!!Had the V.I.P. package and it was freakin' awesome! We got fed, recieved our laminates, drank some beverages and then were escorted to meet the band backstage prior to the show. Mr. Metalgod Halford was very nice, Tipton, Hill and Downing were great to actually meet. Rob asked were I was from and then the band signed our albums we brought for autographs. This was more than a dream come true to say the least. Money just can't buy the chance to meet my idols!!!!!!!!Our photos were posted today and must say that the boys put on one hell of a show. They open with Nostradamus and then proceed with many of their classics. I was in complete awe of how Rob can still belt out the tunes and how the band really takes pride in entertaining the crowd. Hope they come back before hanging it up, cause I'd go again in a heartbeat. One satisfied Priest fan. |

Jack Russell of Great white is a good friend of mine and so is Bobby Blotzer of Ratt.I also know Pat Travers,Jeff Keith,George Lynch and the rest of great White but Judas Priest has been the hardest to meet and they are my favorite band.Nobody has tried harder to do this and i just gave it all i had in Seattle where they just smoked the house down bigtime.Best damn show i've ever seen,no shit. But since i am the gawd damned MoonChild i have lived every lyric word for word, pain for pain that Priest ever put out and i figure they know who i am,it ain't no coincidence.Oh well i tried, what else can i do ? |

good morning,
my meet and greet at nissan is one week away..... the only thing i have received is an email stating what time to be at the box office. i seriously have to meditate and center myself every day because i DON'T want to act like that 14 year old girl the first time i heard them. and now that it is getting closer ~ geez! i am starting to have dreams about meeting the band. if you look at my profile, i have a photo of me and ian hill from when i was 19 years old. it was cool but i really wanted to cry when i looked over and saw rob, kk, and glen walking out to the bus and not even coming close to where they had all of us...... i think i would have spent double the money just to meet halford. i wish that i could have a photo with halford ( ) alone, to me, that would be worth the 400.00 bucks.... but i also snagged a front row ticket in the deal. i have never had front row to any seated show! i have taken photos there before so hopefully i can get some good ones of them on stage... sorry to ramble on, now i am getting even more excited...

PS:
Sorry for the many mistakes in the message below. it was the result of fast writing and not checking the text....
For those who have no laminates or so: don´t be afraif of not being let in. We were asked to go to the ticket counter at the hall and get there a funny piece of paper (like a voucher for a Bratwurst at the Oktoberfest or ticket of a tram...). Very cheap looking and easy to be thrown away afterwards. However, what I mean is, that even without a laminate you will be able to enter the hall. So, SNAPAD, no sweat, you´ll meet the Priest.Or, rather, a lot of sweat because of the excitement to meet them. Poor Rob...what he had to touch down there at Munich, wet Fans ( cause of the heat.....)etc.
Have a lot of fun |

Hi, I am back from my deserved holidays and I am very excited about your feedbakcs. There were food and drinks????? Where? THAT sounds great. We would´ve needed that in Munich with 30°C. No support like that there. well, it didn´t matter thogh.. when the band came to us, I wouldn´t have be able to drink because of the excitement.
As I was writing I had the M&G in Munich, 24st of June. Until today, I haven´t received ANY item of the VIP package, means: No T-Shirt, No laminat .....Just two weeks ago, an apology by mail that it is delayed again. So, still waiting and hoping..
In Germany, first they told us not to bring cameras at all, like it is mentioned in the contract. One week before the happening, they wrote us to bring our own cameras..... Well, I preferred that, so at least I could be sure, that the equipement was o.k. And, lucky we´ve been, the photos that that horrible manager took were good, even if it was only one per person.
All in all, to every JP-fan who can afford it: DO IT: IT IS GREAT TO BE SO CLOSE TO THE METAL GODS!
PS:
In Munich, Glen wasn´t bitchy at all. He was really friendly and nice, as the whole band was, like I mentioned in my first message. |

Just tried calling the Superpages.com center in Dallas (GREAT name. Just rolls off the tip of your tongue, eh?). They actually have answering machine that sounds like it was recorded by a 15 year old! "Um, like, sorry...we aren't able to take your call. Please leave your name and question and we'll, uh, try and call you back when we get a minute." AAAAHHHHH!!!! All I want to know is if I can bring a damn camera!
I think it is all a LiveNation consipiracy. They are trying to annoy people on purpose. |

Ya' know, I understand the VIP rules and got the email asking about the t-shirt size but I still gotta say that a week before leaves me a bit unsettled as well. Especially when I saw a VIP tix on eBay that actually SAID VIP as mine doesn't. Just a huge price and row 2.

Good to know. In the Pittsburgh venue, there are perfect rules to follow. Exactly as you said, HB. No professional cameras, water, tailgating beforehand (no bottles, be safe), water, etc. Duh...you would think the Dallas folks would have a similar page but NOOO. Just crappy LiveNation's brilliant website that directs you to check with the website of the actual venue WHICH IS THEIR OWN!

For anyone else going VIP Platinum before the Dallas show, please post. Especially the answers to the supposed "trivia questions" that they said they would be asking. Oh yeah, and if there is free beer and food! |

Hi there,
the package was 128USD! (as far as I remember, since it was in München, I payed in €. 98 of them..).
But really, I don´t want to speak badly about it in general. As I said, Rob and the rest of the lads were really great.
I just hope, if this guy ( manager or whatever he is) goes on like that, that the people will also complain about HIM.
And it still was worth all the money we payed. That ,however, depends what your willing to pay for an happening like that. I am quite sure, that if it hadn´t been my favoured band, I wouldn´t have paid so much money to see them. It was like fulfilling a dream! Ok, actually it really was. Great.
So every body who dreamed of been so close to them, even if it´s only 10min, DO IT! Forget the money! Money you can get again, but the chance of standing in the middle of the Metal gods is what you aren´t likely to have that many times again.

did anyone booked the Meet and Greet package and if so, how/what was your experience?
Me and my brother booked it and were there in Munich, 24.06.08. It was a short, but great experience . Well, most of it.
The Band itself was very great, nice and patient. All in all seven people booked that package and were there. They ( the Band) were chatting with us (a little) and signed CD´s as well as various T-shirts. They even would´ve spend more time (this was my impression), if not their manager - or whoever this olderly guy was- would´ve stressed everybody around. Faster here, faster there, shouting at the fans to expedite and it was him who took ONE picture of me and the band with my camera. So I was really lucky, that the picture was a good one (sharp etc.) . Really, if this manager would not have been there, it would´ve been much more exciting for us.
Just to make that clear again:
Judas Priest, the Band members, very very nice and patient and friendly and unstressed. My impression was, that they even would´ve stayed another five minutes or so to take their time for us fans (for pictures and singaturesor whatever ). However, the manager guy ended the session (which took place in the stairway of the hall!) after 10-15 min of shouting and pushing us around!
Nevertheless it was an very exciting experience to be so close to my favourite band, I ever dreamed of this thing to happen. AND IT DID! WOW!
PS: And since I am too bloody stupid to upload a picture, you fail to see me in the middle of Rob, K.K., Glen and Ian! Sad for you ;-) |

Thank You for that info. When i saw the meet and greet package option i didnot go for it for that reason.
plus i would either melt on the spot or irritate everyone by trying to sing with rob. I just wanna do one scream with rob.
So now i am 10th ro center and i believe i will have several screams with rob along with allof the fans. i hope to get eye contact. |
