Well - am glad to say my son is following in Dad's footsteps...even tho he went legal and i spent months building him a bike....lol - been a long time club member - he now has the 2009 model cb125rr - is a great start...here's hoping he upgrades in a year or so...all hail to all riders \m/ |

I am generalizing, not targeting you in particular. I truly hope that you are not one of those 'busa riders who wrap themselves around a telephone pole. I hope the Hayabusa is not your first bike and you have some legitimate street riding experience before you try and tame a street legal drag bike. For it`s time, it was a very impressive piece of machinery! I recall being a passenger on one 2 weeks after my accident! I had a cousin that introduced me to riding back then (1980) and he had one with the standard 5 also. those older air cooled inline 4`s from Honda and Yamaha were built like tanks and were amazingly reliable, even when run low on oil!! The Trophy is a 1200cc inline four cylinder,it was discontinued in 2003,but there are rumors of a replacement in the works. Triumph called this color Sunset Red,but most everyone else calls it Maroon!!
The Rocket 3`s are a beast, but handle better than any 2.3 (no mis-type there) liter motorcycle should be allowed. The Thunderbirds are great,I have ridden one before. This is my 3rd Triumph,I had 2 Sprint ST`s before this.
The Daytona`s for 09 are going to be even better than the previous models with a host of refinements aimed at the racetrack. They should be hiting the dealers about now.
The Bonneville`s are something that I was urprised that Triumph didn`t bring back when they first got back into biz back around 1990,very cool bikes, nothing quite like a new retro model .
like I said in the post ,it is a freight train rolling, amazingly stable at any speed and handles very well for a touring bike. It may not be the most beautiful or the coolest bike out there, but it does what it should in and then some!!!! |

Did it have the dual range 5 speed tranny(aka10 speed),or the standard 5? Awesome bike either way!! They made for some fierce drag bikes!! **Drools** you own a Triumph... That's so awesome. I myself don't own a bike but i do have my learners permit for a motorbike, so i guess thats something. I have always dreamed of owning a bike. I'm selling my car before the end of the year so i think i shall invest in a motorbike as replacement.
By the way how many cc's is that beast??.. she's a real beauty ![](/FCKeditorNEW/editor/images/smiley/fun/beaute.gif) [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guitardude from Wednesday, October 15, 2008 4:41:38 PM) | ![](1.gif) | guitardude wrote: | | This is an older pic from the day I brought it home. there have been a few mods since then .
