It would be cool and a big draw for them, bigger then thier BS draw, imo.  I think the only songs of SFV that JP didn't/haven't played live are (Take These) Chains, Pain & Pleasure and Fever; (Take These) Chains, a fav of mine (I love Rob's tone on this), would be interesting to hear live; P&P is OK but never really grabbed like the others did; Fever is pretty decent and it sounds and has the same feel as TTC.  Of course, the rest of the album is pure metal - EE, RIOTW, Bloodstone, SFV, YGATC and Devi's Child - and all rock!
BS was/is just as heavy as SFV, and along w/ SFV, imo has the best 1st side of all the JP albums.

Well, 2011/2012 is a long way off, but hopefully by then JP's next album will already be out. Maybe they can include 5 songs from SFV into their setlist in their future tour as a way of celebrating SFV's anniversary...who knows? We'll see.

Oh yes..... THE SINNER!! Did you notice how much Doug Aldrich from Whitesnake looked like KK back in the day? HOT HOT HOT!! One thing I wondered, Doug was sweating all over, but his hair stayed absolutely PERFECT! How did he do that? Must have gone off stage and blew it dry or something.

I did that too but you know you can always put tape over them and erase them! I had to be sure I knew the tape wasn't going to get erased. Now, I have it on DVD. "Mr. Downing is primed and Ready on a Sunday Night!" YES!!! Letting my sinful side show! LOL

Now THAT is a true hardcore fan!! I was so worried someone might accidentally erase mine that I pulled out the tabs at the back of the tape so you wouldn't be able to tape over it! YOU ROCK!!

Yeh, I gave that SFV tour tape a killer regimen! I was so pissed when I came home and my Aussie Pup, Maxwell had destroyed my living room, but I was still Cool till I found MY SFV tape in the heep to things he tore up! Cardiac Arrest! I did however open up the VHS housing, splice it and put it into a new VHS cassette, worked just fine! I wrote on it. JP SFV tour! DO NOT ERASE!
I am so ready for a new metal masterpiece from Priest! I can't wait to hear it!

Oh, I want that too! By the look of them on this tour, I'm sure that is what we will get with their next album too - in your face screeeeeeaming heavy metal! Maybe for the second leg of the tour like they did with British Steel? For me, this is a VERY special album, the one that started it all for me. I played this album every day (sometimes multiple times) until Defenders was released !I watched the tape I made of the SFV concert on MTV so many times that I broke the tape, but luckily the aired it so many times that I was able to re-tape it just in time. I definitely want them to go into the studio and record a new album next year and show everyone who the true METAL GODS are!

I must say as much as I loved the walk down memory lane, I would rather have a skull crasher out of JP for the next tour! Give me something new to make me bang my head like a teenage to! It's a must!

I was just having this conversation with a friend of mine yesterday. I told him that as much as I love British Steel, if they do a 30th anniversary Screaming for Vengeance tour, I will be even more pumped for the show!

WE DO!!! Nothing like bringing the family together to "play" some Priest! My 7 and 10 year olds are totally into it. It puts a smile on my face every time !

I would LOVE a 30th anniversary tour of SFV! I'll never forget the day my brother brought home the album and put it on the turntable. HOLY CRAP! The Hellion came out of those speakers and I just froze in place. I'd never heard a guitar played like that before. There was so much passion, melody, harmony and in your face METAL!! Then Rob's voice came out of those speakers in Electric Eye and I was completely blown away. After that song, I was a fan FOREVER!! I was only 12 years old when SFV was released and Priest has been my favorite band ever since. I remember watching the concert on MTV that year (or was it '83?) - too young to be there but God I wish I could have been!!

I agree, SFV was MCUH more influential for JP in the US than BS was. SFV made JP household names and the most popular band on the planet.  If BS got the 30 year deluxe and tour treatment, theN SFV DEFINITELY deserves the same respect!
[Amboydukes] Monday, August 24, 2009 9:26:00 AM
As much as I love British Steele and as much as I loved the show in Dallas the other night. It is only a few short years till the 30th anniversary of SfV. That is a tour that must happen. MUST.
